He was never bad

He’s been fairly neutral

Maybe slightly underwater, but not by a lot

Fit wise tho, a 3 team trade that turns Lowry into Tobias Harris makes sense

Just not sure what team needs Lowry and sends Philly what they need.

Could be Charlotte with oubre and hayward or something like that. Idk.

The hard thing is not a lot of contenders need pgs
Hayward and Oubre are a whole bunch of yuck for me.

The hard reality of this thing is they will be paying over 130 million to KAT, Rudy, and Ant by 24 25 at the latest. The cap projection is 143 for that year. If they keep all 3 they damn sure better be contending for ships for the tax bill. That doesn't even count McDaniels who on the low end will be 15 mil

The whole thing is set up to make it difficult on teams to keep 3 max players.

Yup. It’s an intentional design

Which is why recouping 10 for Gobert from Dallas makes sense

Resets your timeline

10 is worth a few of the picks you gave up plus you did get a year of Gobert and frankly if kat missed that many games without the trade they’re picking too 8 for sure

Especially when you keep the WRONG 3 players.

Sure, but a pivot foot sliding doesn't have nearly the impact of the traveling calls ignored elsewhere in my opinion. Not going to die on that hill.
Probably a wise choice in the aftermath of a game where the foul shots were 17-3 in favor of the Lakers in the 4Q and OT.

I didn't like the stretch where KAT got his 5th and Broke Kobe got his shoulder charge foul but other than that it didn't seem awful.

I said last night that Lowry is in the Horry/Mike Miller stage of his career.

I will even throw Andre Iggy in that mix as well.

You aren’t going to get a whole lot from them during the season.

But, they show up, and show out, for the playoffs.

Mike Miller earn every cent of his contract in 1 playoff game for the Heat.

That might be Lowry’s worth to a franchise.

I’m talking more about some of the drives to the rim from T’Wolves where there is contact and no whistle.

Please… can we own the fact that the Lakers get a great whistle way more often than most teams?

Do they?

Are you claiming they're great at drawing fouls or are you under the assumption they've been getting away with a lot of wrong calls in their favor?

I do remember a few.

I also remember Lebron being hit with no whistle.

But, KAT’s 5th and little Country Reaves offensive foul?

:laugh3:

Still, the refs didn’t beat the Wolves.

They beat themselves.

Trash 3 after 3, trash ass coaching, silly stupid turnovers, lack of composure, barn door being opened on every Edwards shots….

Much bigger factors.

Agree. They needed to make better plays at the rims attempting to finish through contact instead of kicking out to the 3 point line. That being said, they let the Lakers primary cover hand check Ant 30 feet from the rim all night. That shit needs to be whistled early to discourage all that. Didn’t happen.

We’ve been here before. More whistles for them than any team in the league coupled with the least whistles in the league. It is what it is. Not sure how we are here in 2023 and still questioning a statement that says Lakers get a great whistle more often than not.

So they're great at drawing fouls. Gotcha.

Other than a tweet by some random twitter page i'd love to see some footage,
Nah. That’s a whole lot of work for me just for you to explain it away with excuses. Love ya, but if we’re still here in 2023 questioning whether or not the Lakers get a better whistle than most then there’s nothing I can do or say that’s gonna move you off that point. I’ll just close with a reminder that the whole NBA world thinks this way but you don’t and it isn’t a coincidence that you’re a Lakers fan.

It was all over the place a few weeks ago. The Lakers had an over 200 foul differential advantage on even the 2nd place team. Can’t be explained and the league hasn’t tried to.

Can't be explained?

Did you want to give it a try other than "THE LEAGUE IS RIGGED IN LEBRONS FAVOR"?
