It’s absurd that the MVP race has been a relative toss up for 3 straight years and the same dude is going to win said toss up 3 straight years. That’s par for the course when sports writers determine an outcome and not the players themselves. Embiid abuses Jokic in nearly every matchup head to head. He’s 5-2 vs him over his career. Yet you look at the MVP results and they say he’s far and away a better player. Embiid is a generational talent and he deserves more respect.
Love ya anyways funbags.

I’m no punk ass Dillon Brooks.

I understand Draymond’s worth.

Dude was outstanding up until the last 2 years.

But, I’m not taking him before Beal nor Middleton.

Neither of those guys could do what Green does.

But, this is about player vs player.

Not who fit best with what team.

I think I would take Crowder over Drummond as well.

I mean maybe but if they don’t make the playoffs they still have no playoff experience. They are competing for a play-in but still under .500.
PHX - healthy KD and full offseason
DEN
LAC
MEM
SAC
GS - healthy squad
LAL
NO - healthy Zion

All those teams are still better than OKC and that is w/o offseason moves. I’m not sure how many guys are going to want to play in OKC yet until they actually make that big jump. Compete for a top 6 playoff spot? Sure. Homecourt is a different beast when right now you are under .500. I guess if a couple of those teams make big moves they could jump back but as of right now with healthy squads.
Just watch

Head to head is not a high determining factor in the regular season MVP race.

Karl Malone won MVP in 1996-97.

I don’t need to remind anyone of his head to heads vs Jordan, right?

Dude, you have got to stop acting as if Joker is 2005-06 Steve Nash.

Your Guy lost when maybe he should not have.

But, it isn’t some grand conspiracy.

Just means people value things MORE that doesn’t support your candidate.

I don’t know. The balance of power is shifting between the East and West. The Thunder are similar to the Sixers in this way. The first full year of Embiid and Simmons on the court they reached the 3 seed in the East just by winning 50 games. The West just keeps getting older. The only teams I’m willing to say will definitely be better than an OKC team that wins 50 games would be the Nuggets Memphis and the Suns. Everybody else has aging guys or guys with injury history. Shit, that applies to the Suns as well. Time will tell.
We’ve seen a similar meteoric rise from the Cavs this year as well. There are 3 teams in the East that are arguably the best three teams in the league and then you have a whole bunch of above average and among that group the Cavs are head of that bunch.

Thunder card under review
Sorry, my friend.

I try to insert a bit of realism in my homerism…lol

I truly believe top 6.

Top 4 is too rich for my blood without knowing the moves other teams make, nor how Chet will holdup against bigger, more skilled competition.

It would be easier for me to accept that if we weren’t looking at Embiid being 2nd team All NBA again when the writers have the means to put both Jokic and Embiid on 1st team as they both deserve.

They would have to take off Giannis or Tatum to do so.

KD, I’m good with that.

Too much time missed.

I would side eye Tatum.

But, shrug and move on.

Giannis, nah.

I would say my ideal All NBA 1st team would be: Jokic Embiid Giannis Tatum and Luka. Given their fugaze rules though Mitchell replaces Tatum.

Goddamn…lol
I think Crowder is a winner and a really solid two way role player. Drummond is an elite rebounder, a needed NBA skill. But he has no offensive bag and is actually ass as an on the ball defender.

This is all true.

You and @thunderc have a good point.

OKC, outside of the heist against the Clippers for SGA, has really drafted well.

Both J Will’s are, at worst, solid rotation players.

I won’t be surprised to see Presti cash in some of his chips to get SGA a legit co-star next Summer.

Chet as your #3 or 4 would be a dream scenario.

I have Santa Clara Williams as a higher scoring version of Phoenix’s Mikal Bridges as a finished product.

Dude has been their top shot creator throughout the 4 chips.

Boards, defense, assists , rings trump Crowder….imo

They are about the same size.

Only one of them is guarding all 5 positions with a modicum of success.

Yeah Williams looks like an all star. What I have to remind myself with him though is that even though it’s his first year he is 22 years old. I still think he has a very high ceiling though.

You can’t trade Scoot for a vet wing.

He is too valuable an asset and not making much $ to get a star back.

If Detroit lands 2, the play might be to trade back a couple spots, or to trade Ivey.

I don't see trading Ivey as off the table if they got Scoot.

Would hate to see it considering he actually wanted to play in Detroit though

Ugh. Him over Middleton is a tough call.

I think I take prime Dray.

Definitely not over Beal though.

Any concerns about Cade’s body holding up or is this just sneaky tanking?

I will say, Ivey has really benefited from his absence.

He was a bit rough early on.

But, unlike Hayes, he rewarded my faith in him as the reason rolled on.

Gonna be interesting to see how Scoot, if you get him, or Ivey fits with Cade.

All 3 want the rock.
