I get what you are saying.

But just not possible to be a good teammate if you are selfish.

Especially as a role player.

I think people like him because he is a good person and brings energy.

But good teammates are by definition players who put the team first.

Russ has never done that.

I think when it comes to sports some folks conflate being a good teammate with being a good dude.

Based on how other players/former teammates talk about and defend him, he seems like a good dude. A guy you'd want to hang with.

A good dude and a good teammate aren't the same.
