Best part of the game was the interview with Trammell. I usually dislike interviews during spring games because it is hard to know who is who during the action and you miss that during interviews. But Trammell was a goof in the greatest possible way. Great energy and love of life.
Almost kind of a forgotten guy in the future OF mix. The ceiling was clearly there at some point and may still be. Im curious how he progresses

My exact thoughts. Give him the job with Lewis and Kelenic. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I did register to the ESPN reporter who spoke during the 8th inning of last nights game and he had some good notes about the young guys. Said M's think Trammell could be the CF because of his athleticism. Said M's think Kelenic is an average CF but other teams say he is more of a fringe RF. So do you go Kelenic in LF, Trammell in CF, and Lewis in RF? Personally I don't care as long as I don't have to see another infielder out there.

That is kind of the issue with T-Mobile park. You should hide your weakest OF in RF but in nearly every other park LF is where you should hide them. But Haniger is throwing a huge monkey wrench in the OF right now. He is the opening day RF and they got this spring training with like what 6 guys vying for LF?

I am just scared to put Haniger in the field. Great talent, but brittle as we all know. I know it was mostly freak things, but now that he has done so much rehab I worry about something being compromised. I am hoping for the best for him.

Haniger is James Paxton on steroids of position players. Paxton got hurt on nearly every imaginable way in baseball. Haniger gets injured on ways that don’t really happen in baseball because of equipment. How many baseball players have been out as long for a ball in the face and a ball hitting him in where a cup goes. Haniger is the boy that Mom’s always say boys shouldn’t play baseball and Dad’s are always saying that doesn’t actually happen.

This reeks of trying to potentially fabricate the issue so they have an excuse to leave him off the opening day roster
Not sure if I agree with that, but did think it wasn't the worst thing for Mariners management. It is a built in excuse.

For what it is worth, he thinks he will be back in a week.

Eh, I would have agreed had the whole Mather thing not happened. I can’t see the Mariners doing anything remotely questionable right now.
