Just saw on Twitter Kelenic’s first spring AB. Looks like he is going to be making the club to start the season off. They don’t give prospects legit jersey numbers unless they are penciled in.

Thank you NWinAZ for the twitter posts of ST game one. Can hardly wait till games are televised. We held are own against SD and even took the first one. SD is going to be a tough NL team to beat this season.

It is kind of ironic that games aren’t being televised but they still have the Roots Sports logo on it.

Looking at the box score from yesterdays Indians game it looks like Kikuchi is in rare form. We are paying this guys 15 million to go out there and get rocked I would rather Logan Gilbert take his place in the rotation.

Well here's the answer. More penny pinching, the beat rolls on in Mariner land.

i turned on Root for the first game sunday and they were playing a 2001 game. I LOL'd pretty hard

Basically stuck with him two more years unless he decides to opt out after this year which seems unlikely unless he's homesick. But my guess is if he bombs this year, that will at least be the end of him in the rotation.

I think Moore could ultimately be a solid utility player and would prefer he doesnt get exposed playing everyday. Long i have no idea if he can be anything based on what I saw last year.

my take..from the way..that they have put together ..the team...so far..is that(and..jedi knows this)..moore and haggerty..are utility players
so
if your utility players ..are so good that you need to keep them on the field...then...they become a position player
so
they will try moore at 2B..and Lf..same for haggerty....and José Marmolejos 26..will also LF and 1B

that will not be eched..in stone..they are getting a chance...for now...cuz that is where the mariners are...for now..in there re-build

other people are thinking as i am that shed long as far as defence goes..may be better..at 3b..he could have one of the best teachers on defence there ...in seager

i have done my whole offseason thing...and you guys are better at this part than.me...ill be reading mosty at this point...lol

i think..he could be ok...out of the bull..pen..in this his 3rd year..i also think..that is why..they got pax..they will not say..that kikuchi..is not a starter
they will give him every chance..to prove he is...until he proves..he is not

the move of getting pax..i think was a real good one..being a fan ..FAV..and all(he will put fans in the seats..while helping win games)
and fitting in with the pitching almost perfectly

and it also shows..that..the miner leagues guys...still need those..reps..and get some stats..so
the mariners can evaluate...them better
the whole covid year off...has hurt...them most

My only question to that is that what draws revenue on Root sports then? Don’t they still call the games in radio?

Best part of the game was the interview with Trammell. I usually dislike interviews during spring games because it is hard to know who is who during the action and you miss that during interviews. But Trammell was a goof in the greatest possible way. Great energy and love of life.
