Mariners Announce Spring Training Roster Moves

Mariners reassigned RHP Robert Dugger, RHP Matt Magill, INF Sam Travis, OF Luis Liberato, OF Dillon Thomas, and INF/OF Jack Reinheimer to minor league camp.​

42 players remain on the major league side of Mariners camp in Arizona. That number will have to be trimmed down to 26 ahead of next Thursday night's regular-season opener in Seattle against the Giants.

You got to like Servais snide comeback to Bauer. I am all aboard the fire him train but if he is going to show fire and passion as a manager then that it good for the younger players.

What is the difference in this year between the alt site and minor league camp when there isn’t minor leagues for awhile? I’m full blown homer on wanting Kelenic to make the Opening Day roster but is minor league camp a way around minor league pushing their start back or is it going to young guys practicing with each other like last year.

Who knows. Another odd season to come. Worst years to be a developmental team.

There was a quote Divish put up on Twitter that Dipoto said they are going to look outside the organization if Lewis isn’t able to make start opening day. I have no idea on the rationale of wasting money on a free agent at this point in the game if Lewis isn’t banged up enough to keep him out significant time.
