Did you really not think he was going to make it though? When the whole Kelenic stuff was going down Jerry and Scott both were talking about Trammell like he was the best player in camp. But he needed to make the team to see what he can do for the club because they have to see from him if Kelenic or JRod are tradable for an ace.
i dont think the mariners will trade any of there top 6 outfeilds for an ace...maybe haniger..but still prob not
the only reason...they would need to trade for an ace is..
cuz they are looking to go to the series
like a verlander trade
the most likely senario...is

1 they get one in free agentsy
2 emerson hancock..could be that guy
3 they trade guys they have not drafted yet...like...lol..i would not want to fool myself by saying they will get... ty madden...one can dream though...lol
or more likly a guy we will see ..

I think he was the better of the two choices based on him being RH versus anything else. I agree he needs to both find a 3rd pitch and also get out of his own head the second time through the lineup. With his arm this year, he needs only to locate his pitches and not worry about out guessing the hitters. I know he is buddies with Pedro which is great, but maybe a talk or two with Greg Maddux would help his mental side.
Isn’t he in the middle of the two though. I thought he has more electric stuff than Maddux but not enough as opposed to Pedro?

I think they originally wanted Fraley, but the last 2/3 weeks it seemed clear Trammell was the guy

He doesn't pitch like either, but advice is advice. Pedro is about movement on the ball while maddux is about location, location, location.

I really dislike him but he is probably what we need most
I agree 100%. Never liked the guy, but he does have some fire which our team could use. Of course fire from a player that isn't hitting doesn't go as far.

Well I am just saying. If you could put the two together it would be a perfect pitcher. Maddux adapted because he didn’t have the stuff and Pedro defied science with his frame, stuff and durability.

I don’t know. It just seemed as soon as they got to camp the PR machine jumped on the Trammell train. He ended up backing it up but at the time it seemed like any question that had to do with Kelenic ended up Jerry and Scott bringing Trammell up. Could be wrong, but that was how I took it.

Well he hit from the get go and didn't really stop, so it seemed like he kind of forced their hand, which is what you want.

Even before they actually played though. I am not saying anything negative about Trammell at all. I just never thought of anything other than a 4th OF. Just the way it seemed to me, after day 1 of practice Jerry and Scott both made it seem like LF was Trammell’s. I obviously didn’t believe them but then he did earn it in camp.

im pleasantly surprised..with trammell..and i can see an outfields..of

kelenic/trammell......Lf/cf
lewis......................CF/LF.....if his health will handle..Cf
haniger..............RF
this is projected..a few months away ..at least............why not now...??....cuz the mariners want a lot of pitching...evaluation.......to do that......cuz they are consentrating on the bull pen getting better..so they want a lot of pitchers.on...... the roster......cuz it is a problem spot for them

an other prob spot..2B...they should add reinheimer....he hits better than crawford..and haggerty.(he may be able to hit as well as jack..but has not so far in spring)..but he will prob be at tacoma......why.....cuz of no space
that many many pitchers...thing...lolol

fraley .................LF/CF..at tacoma
julio rodriguez...........arkansas......im guessing..at his starting location

most major league teams have..5 or 6 outfields on the 40 man

this may be a breakout year for jack reinheimer......if it is.....the mariners re-acquired..him at the right time
just a note on ss and 2b guys..sometimes it takes a few years for them to hit at the big league lvl

and isaid before they where missing a 2b..guy at tacoma...so i guess they have one now..and shed long as well...but either way..and however

they seem to have enough guys

reinheimer...is solid though...if you look at his miners car...you get..from 240..to 250.bat ave...and up to 270 280..bat ave..as players have there ups and downs
he will not hit a lot of HR.s..he will steal some bases...but not tons...he is they say....solid on defence....rienheimer..like moore..and haggerty...
is a utility player...of sorts

haggerty can play CF..and is faster ..and steals more bases...but his miners league ave is around..240-250...one year he hit 270
so..again while they are going through some pitchers....cuz.they need a bull pen
and haggerty can play every pos..on the field...so you dont need an extra outfield...and infield...giving you an extra pitcher
so..its haggerty.....for now
