LeBron is out of the running to win, but he will still finish ahead of Randle. I would bet on that.

Top 5 in some order is likely to look like this

Jokic
Dame
Embiid
Bron
Giannis or Harden

Lillard 2nd. Curry not mentioned. Curry has significantly better numbers except assists.

You do realize I said top 5 in some order right? Dame isn't 2nd if I was putting it in order and Lebron isn't ahead of Giannis/Harden

And yes Curry #'s are great but unless you started watching basketball yesterday, they're not putting him in the top 5 with a team who likely finish 9th at best in their conference

Yep. I think part of the reason I missed was because as I was shooting the ball I was thinking...what the hell am I doing? lol

I think part of it was almost a muscle memory thing or something because the spot that I was at on the floor was where I would start warm up shots before every game. I'd shoot 10 jumpers from that spot, then 10 from the same spot on the other side of the key before I did anything else in warmups. Heck, if I didn't like how my shot felt in the first half, I'd try to get 10 or so shots from that spot at halftime.

That is just it. It is a very routine shot for you. The brain almost turns off for a second because it is like reflex.

Lonzo took a step toward Rose because nobody else was in position to help. Just wasn’t the right play in this instance.

Not to mention, that was a heck of a play by Rose. Most guys turn the corner there and are thinking “score quick”. They see the lane and they take it.

And it isn’t like Lonzo was far enough down to stop the drive. He took half a step.

I never thought of Rose as a high basketball IQ player, but that was a great read by him there.

Curry should get more votes than Lillard. He might not but he should.

Top 2?

No.

Top 5?

Yes, I think so. He is a former MVP having a similar statistical season to the year he won unanimously.

So all NBA players are dumb because 1 guy made a bad, impulsive decision?

That isn’t even a smarts thing. It is an impulse control and discipline thing. I guarantee Lonzo knew he shouldn’t have done that.

But sometimes athletes make bad decisions in real time because they don’t get to stop and think about what to do.
Exactly.

9th in the West

yah..

no.

if they pass the Blazers? sure.
Right, doesn't matter that Curry is having a noticeably better season.

Doesn't matter really, neither will win, nor should they.

Lol let's not act like Dame wasn't playing great when he played 2 months without CJ. Look at the numbers he put up in Jan and Feburary . His #s obviously went down once CJ got back in early March.

I stand by it. Better numbers from Curry. As good as his MVP years really.

Dame been bad this month but from Jan-March, the guy was at or above 30 PPG on 45% from the field and shot 38% from 3 while keeping his team in the thick of things out West

If the MVP was simply about stats and not winning then Russ would have several MVP's by now.

Just because Steph is playing great doesn't mean we should forget that winning is the most important factor when MVP voting.

We basically putting Steph ahead of game because he is having a ridiculous April? Let's just discount what happened Dec-March lol got it

Dame and Steph basically had identical stats entering the AS break with Dame leading his team to a much better record but yeah let's forget about that because Steph is playing out of his mind in April lmao
