Very possible. Right now I'd definitely say yes....but we'll see how the remainder of the regular season plays out.

Also..Julius Randall should be in the running for MVP....imho.

lol at your 2nd point

If by in the running you mean top 10 finish then I agree

as for thibs, it should be between him and the Suns and Jazz aoches

Just curious, 2-8 division record have any impact on decision?

Randall will either win it, or finish in the top 3 or top 5 when it's all said and done.
You heard it here 1st, from me.

Never had to go to a bridal shower. That would be weird.

I have had to go to a few baby showers but usually they were pretty fun events.

When I got married the first time, the soon to be Mother-In-Law insisted on hosting a "couples shower".

I said..."There's going to have to be beer or none of the guys will show up. I'll take care of the beer"

She said..."Well, I don't want a bunch of beer bottles sitting around, so I'm getting a keg. What kind should I get?"

I said..."Blind Pig (they were a popular local brewery) and we'll all be there."

Had to do the baby shower thing a couple of times.

Interestingly, the same thing happened at both types of showers.

The men were all outside drinking beer, eating and talking about sports, etc. Then we'd take a break to go in and watch presents being opened. Then it was back outside for more beer, etc.

Big difference between winning and finishing top 5.

But Randle isn’t finishing top 5.

Now, if he posts a couple more seasons like this and helps the Knicks get over 50 wins, then he might get in that fringe MVP discussion.

Guys just don’t come out of nowhere to win MVP in the NBA. They have to have a couple near MVP seasons first to get in the convo.

Yeah..okay.....We'll see.
I'm still sticking with my opinion regardless.

Thing is, everyone who has played competitive basketball has made mistakes like that before.

Years ago in a league I played in, we're up 3, time is running out and the other team is in a full court press. I get behind the defense, teammate passes me the ball...all I have to do is stay away from any defenders and dribble out the clock. But...my dumbass decides to take the little 10 foot jumper that I hit 9.9 times out of 10. Of course, I miss...of course the opponent gets the ball and nails a last second 3. Of course we lose in OT. :L

Of course the guys from the team still like to bring it up once in awhile. lol

I could see him finishing top 5. If for no other reason than we have some "usual suspects" for the award like Lebron and KD who will be out of the running and Embiid is probably going to be out of it too.

I guess those guys could still pull enough votes to keep Randle out of the top 5 though.

LeBron is out of the running to win, but he will still finish ahead of Randle. I would bet on that.

And of course you knew you shouldn’t have taken that shot after you did it. Just like Lonzo knew he shouldn’t have taken that step toward Rose.

Very easy to lose focus for a half second and that is all it takes.

Yeah, there should probably be a minimum number of games that has to be played for a player to receive votes.

Yep. I think part of the reason I missed was because as I was shooting the ball I was thinking...what the hell am I doing? lol

I think part of it was almost a muscle memory thing or something because the spot that I was at on the floor was where I would start warm up shots before every game. I'd shoot 10 jumpers from that spot, then 10 from the same spot on the other side of the key before I did anything else in warmups. Heck, if I didn't like how my shot felt in the first half, I'd try to get 10 or so shots from that spot at halftime.
