Did Jimmy take personal time 3 different times? Apple and Oranges. So no not different standards. Did Jimmy take off to celebrate a birthday or a birth of child? You're sounding like wiggy.

It is known that kyrie took his first 2 personal time to celebrate birthdays but yeah let's criticize jimmy for wanting to be there for the birth of his first child
I'm not criticizing anyone. YOU said it needs to be death and Jimmy took days off for reason other than death.

you're sounding like......well.......you.

Kyrie took some me time in early January to clear his head. While he was away from the team he violated league virus protocols by going out and about without a mask. Don't recall Jimmy ever doing something like that.

"You're sounding like wiggy"

:laugh3:
Yeah....except I didn't criticize Jimmy for what he did nor say what Kyrie did was OK.

Other than that you nailed it, too.

It's funny to look back at the "take-over of LA" and see how many ex Lakers and Lakers missed FA targets they continue to build that team with.

He's a good to very good coach IMO. Last year was a tough situation to use to judge your head coach.

He was their coach for more than last year.

Gotta love this forum! Did I do that right?

Yep. also has to do with the perception one has before winning the ring. as many seem to think Lue cannot coach and a ring didn't change this. Never mind Rivers won his title with a favorite and Lue with the underdog.

I think a lot of that has to do with how good Lebron is. I don't think any coach gets very much credit for winning with Lebron on his roster. That's not a knock on Lebron, it illustrates just how good he really is. Spo didn't get a lot of credit when Lebron was in Miami...now he's considered one of the best in the game.

I think Frank Vogel is doing an excellent job with the Lakers, but you don't really see anyone, myself included, talking about it.

I've lost any shred of my sense of humor. You should know this.

Wait a minute. You had a sense of humor, when? :heh: Just kidding.

Did you hear that De'Aaron Fox was fined 20K for being critical of the refs and Kyrie made unnecessary contact with a ref and was fined nothing? That doesn't seem right.

It's players like LeBron that can make a coach look real good. You give any HOF coach from any era a crappy roster and he ain't winning.

And Spo. Glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. And Vogel. Fuck him! I mean I wish the Lakers would had gone with Luke Walton instead.

I'd say he's like most.....give him talent and he'll win. Don't and he wont.

He‘s had the talent though.

In Boston he’s had 4 HOF players and only got one title

In LA he’s had a prime CP3, a prime Blake Griffin, Kawhi and Paul George and never got out of the 2nd round in the playoffs.

That to me screams mediocrity at best.

Give those teams to guys like Phil Jackson, Pop, Pat Riley, Lenny Wilkins or even probably guys like Larry Brown and Rudy T and you’ll probably get 2 or 3 championships out of those rosters at least.

Sure, but that seemed to be the break-thru opportunity, which they then fumbled away.

As opposed to the 4 years of break-thru opportunity he had with CP3, Blake and DeAndre Jordan while the Lakers were struggling to get out of their own way?

Only CP3 of that group resembles a championship player, and he hasn't gotten there with any of his teams yet either.

Who were the 4 HOFers in Boston? Obviously Pierce, KG & Allen. Is the 4th Brian Scalabrine?
