Keldon Johnson is really starting to take off as a do everything glue guy.
I think the Spurs ended up a lot better than anyone ever wants to admit in hindsight from that trade.

They were never ever going to get equal value based on the poor bargaining position with Kawhi.
Kawhi was going to sit out a full year and fake an injury if he had to do so.......The Spurs had zero leverage.

Demar Derozan/Jakob Poetl/Keldon Johnson are all NBA starters and playing well.
That trade is not even close to a bad trade in hindsight considering the circumstances.

They are saying its a strain right now. Apparently they can do a physical test (Thompson Test) and they can tell if the tendon is ruptured or not with it and its usually about 90% accurate. So the MRI could still reveal a full rupture but the fact that they at least are saying strain is some good news I guess (LET ME HAVE THIS RIGHT NOW!!!).

They just need to wait until he is fully healed and then give him an extra couple of weeks off.

Cant rush these types of injuries.

It’s been more than just tonight. Do I think this is a better team than last year? I think they can be but they haven’t shown it for most of the season even with the top 2 record in the NBA. So really that is a good thing for the Lakers but AD is injured now and wonder if some of these guys will be clear upgrades when it comes playoff time. I think they will be they are inconsistent at times. I still think they need to bring in a couple pieces at the deadline and most certainly a big man to help Gasol. A long season though

Take as much time as possible and like you said, even when full healthy take another week or so and gradually bump his minutes up. It’s not woth it. If that is missing 2-3 months...you do bc of the long-term. The Lakers can still be a top 4-5 seed without AD.
