Yeah hasn't been a good first half. Only good thing I guess is Kemba's shooting is looking better today.

To say it hasn't been a good half is an understatement.

We're playing the Wizards... one of the worst defenses in the NBA...

... and the Celtics have put up 43 points at the half, on the way to losing by double digits.

All of Kemba, Brown and Tatum are playing. No excuses to be found.

Boston's really struggling right now.

Most teams have down stretches during the season. Rather they get this outta their system now instead of something like this happening heading into the playoffs.

But with that I do agree it inexcusable. Don't know if they took the Wizards too lightly before tipoff. Hope they can make the right adjustments. This would be an ugly loss.

The lack of effort is glaring.

Some games the shots don't go down... that happens... but seeing this lack of desire is just sickening.

Well I took L.A.'s other team to beat the Nuggets tonight on espn's streak for the cash. I'm a jinx picking games as you all know. The Purple 'n Gold in some serious trouble now.

My two favorite teams are the Celtics and whoever beats the Lakers.

They ain't right at the moment. And not even sure what's wrong. This can't be just because of Smart's injury. Is it chemistry issues?

I don't think it's chemistry... from where I sit, it's a mix of:

• too much line-up flux from game to game (legitimate excuse)
• a lack of effort/desire (inexcusable)
• lack of consistent scoring punch outside of the big 3

What jumped out at me was what you mentioned last. No doubt that's an issue. Not sure what can be done about it before the trading deadline though. I don't follow players salary or team cap numbers. So not sure what if anything's possible.
