Cavs opened with a soft schedule, a good coach, and a team playing hard. That got them to a pretty nice spot at one point- but now the schedule is getting tough, and no one is taking them for granted. Going into Denver with Denver coming off a losing streak was always going to be a bad combination.

I couldn't be more glad.

The Lakers must not be interested in the first half at all. OKC with no SGA and only suiting up 8 players. They will turn it on in the 2nd half- but this Oklahoma 8 guys without SGA is a bad bad bad collection of talent.

I will say- the Lakers interior defense isn't as good as it was last year. Gasol has definitely taken a step back. That might come back to haunt them down the line in the playoffs.

Howard and Rondo have their warts- but both guys can still play defense. Not sure I like 'Trez for this team- they had plenty of offense and Kuzma/'Trez are pretty similar profile wise.

Plus I think the Clips solidified and improved their defense getting Batum and Ibaka.

I cant believe they are winning with Muscala going 0/7....i was thinking id see like scorching hot 3 pt shooting before i looked at the box score.

And you are right- the Thudner have developed some guys--- but without SGA its pretty dirty.

Dialo and Bazley get tons of minutes on any team in the league.

Bazley is only 20- so obviously he has a high ceiling--- but under 40% from the field for a PF isnt exactly ideal.

I totally agree that they should give all these guys plenty of minutes and develop them though. Young guys you just want to see they can do it--- consistency isnt going to be there. You just dont want a guy who has never shown it like a Bamba or something.

Pacers really lost some offense without Oladipo and Warren hurt-- and LeVert obviously out. Defense is still solid but Brogdon cant be their only perimeter athlete.

Losing Oladipo, and having Warren hurt- and LeVert not able to play really takes their athleticism down a couple notches.
