I think the difference was the disappearance of Ayton after game 2. The moment was just to big for the guy

Holliday looks more like a boxer than a basketball player but boy is he gritty and tough and comes up big when needed

That is extremely unfair.

He has only been on 1 team with championship caliber talent his entire career.

And they ran up against the KD Warriors.

Just because someone doesn’t get a championship doesn’t mean they aren’t a winner.
This.

Exactly. There are so many factors that are outside of a players control that determine whether or not they get any titles. If not for MJ, Barkley likely has 1. If MJ doesn't retire for a couple of seasons, Hakeem might not have any.

If not for 2 miracle shots (D-Fish and Ray Ray)...Timmy might have 7 titles.

That's not even factoring in things like the teams they went to and the competence of those teams front offices in putting a contending roster around them, injuries, etc.

It's why titles are tiebreakers, nothing more.

While I was pulling for the Suns, I have to say that one of the really good things about this finals and the Bucks winning, is that a lot more people now know what a genuinely good dude Giannis seems to be.

Is Coach Bud getting fired @bksballer89?

To be fair, if the playoffs had ended the way it looked like they were going to end for the Bucks, he likely would have been. He was late making adjustments in every series. The finals is a good example. The Bucks were down 0-2 before he adjusted his defense and started picking up CP3 at full and 3/4 court. Dude's 36 and it wore him down. Basically, it was the same thing the Bulls did to Magic when MJ got his first title.

Had he gone into the series doing that, the Bucks may have swept the Suns.

For all of Westbrooks faults he does as well

Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard anyone accuse Westbrook of not playing hard or even taking a play off.

His basketball i.q. on the other hand...

Exactly. I made my comment with the nets up 2-0 and a healthy kyrie. His obsession with me is weird. They were not beating the nets 4 of 5 with a healthy kd and kyrie. They got the breaks needed to win that series and it lead them to a title. Congrats to Bud

Yep, to his credit, Bud did adjust eventually. But yeah, without the injuries to Kyrie and the Beard (and it took both), the Bucks aren't in the finals and Bud is likely a Lakers assistant coach by now. lol

Right? I mean, someone wants to blame the 36-year-old as opposed to Booker in his prime and the #1 pick Ayton who didn't exactly play well?

I was pulling for the Bucks last night with about 75% of the enthusiasm I would have had for the Warriors winning, which is considerable for me. Giannis was just otherworldly. The way he dominated inside of the 3 point line might actually create a shift in play in the NBA. It was incredible.

I was a little nervous watching Holiday on offense but his defense was tremendous on Booker. Middleton was ok, but he made the big plays when it counted.

But overall I'm just very, very happy that CP3 didn't win again. Good guys got the win in this matchup this time around.

Not at all. I don't think there's a guy in the NBA outside of CP3 that I would actively route against. Just man he's a dirty player. And this is coming from a guy who routes for Draymond Green, lol.
