I don’t think anybody is saying injuries don’t affect outcomes. At least I hope not.

Injuries have played a direct role in the Finals in recent years. But that doesn't take anything away from the teams that won. Injuries happen all season long. Sometimes they just show up at the worst time.


2015- Kevin Love didn't play in the Finals & that flat Earther got injured

2016- Steph was dealing with a nagging injury and I think another starter, Bogut, had some issues as well (and just in case anyone wants to take this outta context, I'm not say Bogut was as important as Steph, that would be pure insanity)

2019- KD gets injured

2020- Bam & Dragic injured


In '17 & '18 I don't recall the injury bug seriously hitting any teams. And I don't remember if the Suns had any injury bug issues for the Final last season.
