If they won a title with Durant everyone wouldn’t they bought the championship. If they didn’t win it with Durant they would get skewered. A no win situation

I'd say winning a championship is definitely a "win" situation. There will always be haters trying to add an asterisk to every win regardless.

it's been about 18 years for me but I have at least tasted 3 of them in my lifetime.

I rooted hard for that 2004 team once playoffs hit. Larry Brown got a much deserved ring. It was the first title I remembered without a bonafide super star let alone the trend at the time of 2 of those type of players. Rasheed Wallace is a Philly guy and Rip Hamilton was from a local Philly suburb as well. Saw both play in high school so it was a fun team to jump on the bandwagon for me.

Also, the Warriors got a lot of luck in that 2022 championship run. If Curry doesn't go nuts in Game 4 of the Finals, I don't see them coming back from 3-1.

Every championship involves some luck. Even 2017, the luck was how the team was assembled (they didn't need any luck in the actual games lol)

Also, going nuts is what all time great players do sometimes. That wasn't luck that was having Steph on your team

Impossible to play those what if games but hindsight has a lot of contingency. If the Warriors beat the Cavs again in 2016 do they go out and get KD and form one of the greatest teams ever to play? I'm glad it happened how it did.
