But what I am saying is that is like half the teams
in the league.

And I have never seen Golden State in laughing stalk territory. Maybe locally during that time, but not nationally.

And certainly never again.
I agree on the “never again” statement. As bad as the Bulls are now, and have been since Jordan, they still have the air about them that they are an upper-level team. The Warriors are forever in at least that class. At least for a few decades to come.

Don't cha just love how a thread goes from Celtics/Warriors to racial discussion to f*ckin' hockey?

What the hell do the Detroit Redwings have to do with the NBA Finals???

Sorry. Just spent two days driving 1339 miles and left my sense of humor somewhere around Baltimore.
Baltimore is where laughter goes to die, that's for sure

I understand what you are saying.

But…

There are 11 franchises with 0 championships. Some of those have never even really gotten close (Clippers, Hornets, Wolves, Nuggets, Nets).

8 franchises with only 1 title, and some of those (OKC, Washington, Portland, Sacramento) were from long ago and in some cases from other cities.

The Warrior franchise is now 3rd in titles.

So despite the long dry spell, nobody is ever putting the Warriors in a list of bad franchises. There are just too many that have had little to no success.
Nets got close, a couple of finals, right?

I understand that they didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning them, but the Nets did go to back-to-back finals, so I think saying they have never been close is unfair (I mean, they were in the arena).

I mean...the title count has been dominated by 2 teams and about half a dozen other has like another 27 or so total.

That's 61 of the titles
I memorized all the NBA title teams in order. It's not that hard because so many are Lakers, Celtics, or bunched up (Bulls, Warriors)

Yeah.

Without a legit chance to win either.

And have been really bad for most of the time in between.
It's ok for one team on your list to not belong on it. No one bats 1.000

Dude.

The point is that there are a lot of shitty franchises in the NBA.

And yeah, the Nets have been 1 of them IMO.

I feel like the Warriors were a laughingstock of the league, if not the premier laughingstock of the NBA, but maybe you're right. The '90s and '00s Warriors were so bad that nobody cared about them. LOL

You're gonna think even less of them if the rumors that are starting to circulate are true.

KD may have a new address in the near future.

At one time they were the worst franchise in any professional sport,

Remember the Chris Washburn era?

Not really. I first became a fan in 1987 when I was 7 years old. First time I remember rooting for a team was when the Niners got crushed by the Giants in the playoffs, so that must've been like January 1987. I remember Joe Montana being put in an ambulance. After that, I added the Warriors and Giants to the Niners as my rooting interests. I don't have any memories of watching Washburn play. I only know about him because of draft bust lists. My early Warriors memories are Sleepy Floyd, Mullin, and George Karl. I also remember hearing that Joe Barry Carroll was supposed to be good.

Not as good as Parrish and McHale.

You remember Billy Owens? After the great career he had at Syracuse I thought he was going have a solid NBA career. Nope.
