I don't think it'll compare to the Cavs title for this reason. Before '16 the city of Cleveland hadn't won a major sports championship since '64.

The city of Detroit has the Pistons (3 rings), Red Wings (not sure how many Stanley Cups they have but it's more than just 2 or 3) & Tigers ('84 right?).

Football is just so much bigger than the other sports I think it would be at least equivalent. There would certainly be many large fires.
