Biggest thing is, it was just 1 game.

If Suns control game 2 as much as they did this one, then I would really start to worry as the Bucks.

Kinda pissed CP3 stole that last rebound at the end of the game from Ayton. He would have had 22 and 20.

Bud is really a bad coach. Guy should be thanking his lucky starts every damn day that both Kyrie and Harden got hurt. He was about to be fired

He has no clue what he's doing.

Instead of going small and having Portis come in for Lopez, he takes out Giannis and leave Lopez in with Portis

His problem is he takes way too long to adjust.

Something works against 1 team, he assumes it will work against another.

Big lineup was okay against Atlanta with an injured Trae Young. Phoenix just has too many playmakers who can get to the rim. Big lineup not a good look.

Bud and Nash are perfect examples that you can be a shitty coach and still be successful once you have some top players

I agree overall, but…

Not fair to call Nash a shitty coach at this point.

Based on what?

Going to ask the same question I asked months ago.

What is the point of switching if it puts your defense at a huge disadvantage? I need answers @tlance

I'm all for switching if it does not put your defense at a disadvantage.

I mean, it depends on personnel.

If you don’t have versatile defenders that can guard multiple positions then you shouldn’t be switching.

Any other pick and roll coverage requires 5 players to do their job correctly and temporarily leaves guys open because somebody has to rotate to take the roll guy.

If you do have versatile defenders, the switching completely negates screening action and allows help defenders to play straight up.

The Bucks have size, but they just don't have the agility or speed to defend against the much quicker Suns.
Defensive adjustments should be their #1 priority and overall approach for game 2.
They better come up with a plan soon...but I'm not too sure they can.
Plus, whatever Bud has drawn up...Monty will have the smarts to counteract it, and he has a deeper bench.

Jrue Holiday absolutely needs to show up on Thursday.
His overall game 1 performance was just plain bad.
Also, I would start Connaughton over Tucker.

Interesting.

Might not be a bad idea.

Tucker is wasted a bit in that the top players for the Suns aren’t guys he should be matched up with.

So I like the thought to get an extra shooter out there.

We shall see......but don't forget, we're talking about Mike Budenholzer here..and I don't know what he did with all the notes he took, and knowledge he received from all those years sitting next to Gregg Popovich while he was with the Spurs.

Tucker definitely should be coming off the bench imho....and unfortunately they're missing, and really could've used Dante DiVincenzo against a fast up & down running team like Phoenix.

LMAO man, is BSPN all over Budenholzer and the Bucks...

Basically saying that the only reason the Bucks got to NBA finals is because of opponents' injuries...

Of course it is...I'm not arguing that at all... I just wish people would stop using it as an overall excuse for losing a playoff series. There has to come a time where a team takes their lumps, tips their caps to the winning team, and then hopefully move on to upgrade/improve/re-evaluate for the coming season, if that's what's needed.

I don't think teams are doing it so much as their fans are.

Ayton with 22 on only 10 shots plus 19 boards! Young man has really grown up in these playoffs.

His shooting percentage is through the roof too. He never forces shots and rarely takes a contested one. It's all about locking in with the guards and making yourself available. He's really connected with CP3.
