Secondly, it should be emphasized that there’s no indication in the report that a blockbuster addition of both Bryant and Story is at all likely, nor does Divish suggest that Frazier will be actively shopped by the Mariners. Some would question the logic of acquiring Frazier in the first place if the end result were only for him to be traded just a

after establishing a few points up front. For starters, it’s certainly possible that even if Seattle were to pull off an unlikely stunner and sign both Bryant and Story, Frazier could still be deployed as a multi-position super utility player. That’d cut into the available playing time for switch-hitting Abraham Toro, but Toro could conceivably rotate between multiple infield positions (third base, second base and perhaps even first base) and designated hitter himself. He also has minor league options remaining.

yeah it is unlikly.....the only reason ...is...the amount of years...for bryant.,2 or 3 years....but im sure...bryant is looking for more years...
but the mariners have a loaded....farm...

they are not all...for trade.....hello....

do i like bryant...sure i do....that is not the point though.....

Graduation TLDR: The enigmatic Toro has the tools and statistical track record befitting an everyday player but his swing and throwing can look odd, leading to some doubt as to their true efficacy.
RotoWire News: Toro will get some outfield reps in spring training to increase his versatility, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports. (12/1/2021)

yeah..here is the thing...saattle has pitching...and is going to have pitching....they are not hurting like they were in the past....

suzuki...is a nice player....he is an outfielder...not infield....and not CF...if he was the mariers would be more on him.....there is only...one pkayer...that fits....for the mariners outfield in free agents...and that is conforto....its also nice.....he is from seattle...yep....so nice...

cuz ya need that LHbat..after...france and haniger...and seager..,is gone....soooooooo.......and waiting for kelenic...will..not do...unless it is off the bench...kelenic..will probably outpace fraley...this year....yeah..he prob will...but fraley..is the on base guy...that would be good off the bench..

so im a bit torn...between the 2...for bench guy...then jedi..likes moore....so be it...he is an excelent defender( and why they dont need bryant)...if he was an ecellent hitter....the mariners would not need story..........but he is not...and they do.....

soo
frazier...utility...DH...L/L....ok then
moore....utility....everywhere...but CF...ok then..

maribers could use...a true Cf.....ok then..only cuz...we are unsure of lewis...at this point.....
mariner like..

  • but they could use..maybe one more...????...maybe...cuz between tacoma and seattle he would play...
and we cant say.....padlo...is ready...yet.....

my guy...miranda...is ready.....TWINS......yeah i know...ouch...that hurts...lololo

Interesting. I see Frazier as probably only a 1 year guy as is.

I do think either Bryant or Story is a must but would love both obviously

..for sure....with..toro..and no need for bryant...but
they would need the other free agents..i have said...
and if ..........white is not at MLB by then....he may never be....but i dont think that is the case.....

the kelenic trade above....creates a bridge.....for the mariners....to there minor...leaguers....taking a bunch...of presure off...everyone...
where they can just.....play ball...
gives williamson.one more year...and maybe some MLB starts this year...a good thing.....to slide right in....

mariners.,.history..does not have a lot of really good pitchers....these are some good ones....but most..did not have the rest of a good rotation..
to go to playoffs with...we all know these guys....no explanation needed.....

that..is about...to change..

.the mariners are about to have one of there best rotations ever.....if they could get a start date......and amonth..to finnish..offseason trades...and signings.........
i blame the owners...first.....but i blame....the players as well.....for some stuff....like not hashing it out....put in the work...in the office...

so everyone can get on the field..............and put the product out...

owners...have not put out there numbers...sense 1932...
but trump...has to have...his tax....return..in court....there is something wrong with that..

one way......or.......the other.

..and things like that.....

will sour....the milk.......yes .....it......will...

setting ...bad. presidence...is the worst thing......anyone could ever do....worse..than..dying...cuz...at least...when..you are dieing..
when you are dead its ....over....

bad presidence...lives on......while everyone chokes on it....

I don’t want Toro as a starter for 2022. If they can get an Olson then it isn’t ideal but moving him to 3B isn’t a bad move. They need a 3B for sure and if Bryant isn’t there I am just saying I don’t think we should rule out moving France if we can upgrade at 1B if possible isn’t a bad option. Ideally he is your DH but then you have to get a 1B and 3B in FA or trade and have to deal Lewis and that IMO is a lot to ask for from this front office and the M’s not getting hosed.
I don't want to get too excited but everything I've read indicates the Mariners will land at least one/maybe two of the trio of Kris Bryant, Suzuki or Story. Whenever Divish has mentioned Story or Bryant in the same sentence, he sounds pretty confident they will land at least one of the two. Even though there is a lockout, you know teams are still talking to agents under the table.

If they sign Bryant I'd be okay with Frazier starting at second. We've already discussed it but I'd prefer not to overpay for Story given all the concerns I have regarding him.

I think I would consider the offseason a big success if we sign Bryant for 3rd, Suzuki at OF and trade/sign another top of the rotation pitcher. In this scenario, the only glaring hole we'd have amongst position players would be at catcher.
