I don’t disagree necessarily but I am still holding out hope they can get a 2B and have Frazier play CF or get a CF. It isn’t a knock on Suzuki and I could be speaking way out my ass but it just seems they have more pressing needs especially since one of the goals I thought was to get Kelenic out of playing CF.
If Frazier plays CF for them, this offseason would be an epic failure.

I think the only way Fraziers sees a lot of time in CF is if they bring in 2 more INFs. Unless you are wanting Toro for one of those spots or have Moore in the lineup a bunch

With Story or essentially any hitter who plays at TMobile they just have to hit the ball hard in the gaps. For some unknown reason when a FA comes to Seattle he tries to hit HR’s. That was Cirillo’s big issue and that Angels 1B Seattle got but his name escapes me.
lol either Speizo or Kotchman. both sucked the same.
Idk I think I like Story more then most plus his defense is very good which I think means something

assuming williamson..kerby...hanhock and stoubt...are after...gilbert..at 2028...

robbie ray.......fr agent...2027
flexxen...fr agent..2026
Contract Notes:
  • 2023 Club Option converts to an $8M player option with
    150 IP in 2022 or 300 IP across 2021-2022
    or
    35 games finished in 2022 or 65 in 2021-22
  • Trade Assignment Bonus: $250,000
  • Incentives: $1M

Marco Gonzales....fr agent 2026

gilbert..fr agent..2028.

justin dunn...fr agent...2026

for the mariners not to need flexen next year...2 things have to happen....gilbert...starts pitching under 4...which i think he will...but..kerby or hancock...need to be ready...as well....or stoubt...
while...we are...trying to build in...williamson...but..i think..it will be no prob...for 1 or 2 years...at least....and flexen..can gain his reputation..in that time.....to add..to what he has already.....reputaion...gets ya paid...the really....big bucks...

and seattle may be ready...for flexen to do that...by..2024...but who know.s..it is about gitting...paid...for players....its there job...ya know...
and/or trade....would be trade....freeagent..would be draft pick..

next years ..mariners free agents....

Ken GilesRP31.3RRSEA$9,500,000
Chris FlexenSP27.6RRSEA$4,000,000
Mitch HanigerRF32.9RRSEA$8,500,000

mariners need to save enough..for next year....to pay haniger....and frazier..and keep.the ball..team together..that would be..2023..++
6 years..for both...plus signing boneses.....they are 2 of seattles ...mains...stars..ya i know...fraizier has not played a game yet..
but i know..what..they are gitting...and so do you....and they are going to need it next year as well..and for a few years to ..come..

six sounds right...maybe more ...for haniger..

this is what frazier ..is..a DH...2B..utility.....that..is what..he is.....cuz...it is...

it works for seattle...excellent...

seems to be the top...rule 5 guy...whocould fit...

Miles Mastrobuoni | Age: 26 | SS/OF | L/R | Tampa Bay Rays

A regular at big league camp during Spring Training, Mastrobuoni’s versatility may finally be finding him a Major League opportunity. Known for playing all over the diamond, the Nevada product showed promise at the upper levels of the minors in 2021. In 382 at-bats, Mastrobuoni produced a .802 OPS, but was left off the roster due to a flurry of Rule-5 eligible players for Tampa Bay.

what is not to like...for the mariners...he fits what they want...and hit 300...at AAA.

i dont know..if he CFs...but if he he does...mariners will...fall...in ..love....lolololol...or just trade...don walton for him..

Samad Taylor | Age: 23 | 2B/OF | R/R | Toronto Blue Jays

With a breakout season at Double-A, Taylor may have propelled himself to a top selection in the Rule-5 Draft. The California native showed an uptick in power last season, where he slugged 16 bombs. Taylor produced an impressive .294/.385/.503 slash through 374 plate appearances. Maybe the most valuable attribute for Taylor is the ability to play all around the diamond. The 2016 10th round selection also stole 30 bases, expanding his value to a bench utility player with speed.

eiter of these guys could do for the mariners....

but haggerty....can..play...CF...so do not...forget that..he is at AAA.,tacoma..

Idk I think I like Story more then most plus his defense is very good which I think means something
But can he play 3B I guess would be my question, or maybe Jerry can get both he and Bryant and he can transition to 2B. I won’t pretend to have a scouting report on Story but the few times I have seen him he seems to drive the ball to the gaps which is ideal to play in Seattle, Oakland and Houston for 40% of your games.

Moore is a guy Jerry needs to trade. As a fan I don’t want Toro as an everyday starter which means he this years Dylan Moore. They have the budget for Bryant and Story which is my ideal scenario. I don’t mean to be negative on a dude I’ve never seen, just issue is it seems everyone is saying he can’t play CF.

If Frazier plays CF for them, this offseason would be an epic failure.
Not if they fill 3B and 2B which is my scenario though. Ideally they get Bryant and Story and if Frazier has to play CF until JRod gets called up then he can move into the super utility guy.
