In his latest mailbag column Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times expands on some of the Mariners’ free-agent targets, reporting that the team never had a one-on-one meeting with Semien — seemingly due to a lack of interest on Semien’s end. Regarding the potential of an infielder changing positions to come to Seattle, he further notes that Crawford himself has never expressed that he’s unwilling to change positions, but the Mariners aren’t keen on moving a player they believe to be a high-end defender at a time when he’s making strides offensively.

I would love to have Cruz back but there is the Kyle Lewis and Mitch Haniger problem because both will have to DH some and you can’t put Cruz in the field. Package Lewis in that A’s trade idea we have tossed out there, or really any trade then there is room.

no team is going to trade for lewis.....in his..current...condition...mariners need him anyway...and ...till...he is all..the way back...its more likely...no team will....if he is full...healthy...he worth as much as reynolds..maybe more..he did win..rookie of the year.....i dont think reynolds did that...

its also..hard...to give up...such a promising...ss..or CF.....

i would take moran at 1B/DH.....i think he is that good..........and after sleeping on it...lololo....he looks even better....but..france could 3B...at times
morans ave looks good...i think he could hit more HRS....but who cares.....how he is ....is ok...more HRS...even better....

for me....moran is better....cuz..i dont think he cost...as much...as...bryant...but it is his 1st...free agent as well...
and as far...as bryant goes...what if white..hits well at tacoma...and is moved up...then france..would 3b.....

i think what he meant...was..they are going to give him..some reps there...but 1b..is his main ..position....no matter what...its a good idea..
everyone..should play..at least 2 positions.....what if ya need to move some guys around...late in a game....2 position guys...make it a lot easyer..
