He's not doing this for money. It's all about respect for him and getting talent. With that said, any team he goes to the money will be more than the Patriots would give but that's not why Brady would go to that team
That's BS. He got all the respect he needed when Garoppolo was traded.

So what happens say he goes to the Titans for only $25 million a year? I could see him being upset that the Pats just are not showing him a lot of respect and go to another organization for cheap just to show them how much they miss him.
It's worth repeating. He hs been shown plenty of respect.

Mike Giardi of ESPN who used to be a Boston Patriots beat writer and TV guy along with Tom Curran, is throwing a huge bucket of cold water on the Brady controversy.

Giardi has been talking to owners as well as coaches and the owners are telling him a different story than the coaches are inferring.

Tennessee Titans - Mike Vrabel wants Brady but the owner is about to put an end to it. He wants Tannehill back after his performance last year in getting the Titans to the AFCCG. He does not want Brady and then have to draft another QB who Brady may reject like he did JG. He also does not want to bring in Brady and find out that his poor year in 2019 wasn't so much a lack of help but a seriously diminished set of skills in Tom Brady. Nothing will be said publicly, but the most talked-about move may be already dead in the water.

Los Angeles Chargers - Ownership isn't the best, but he does not want the team committed to a 43 year old QB for three years. He's more interested in two years with a team option after one. He also wants to draft a QB foor the future to work with a veteran QB. He, like the Titans owner, is a bit nervous about Brady being a good mentor.

Las Vegas Raiders - Davis is willing to give Brady a three-year deal but it won't be 100% on Brady's terms. He'll have to attend all OTAs and Mandatory camps so that he can get familiar with his teammates. Brady will also have to alter his system a bit to try to fit it into Gruden's and Gruden will have to alter his a bit to make it easier for Brady. Money and length but the environment might be a bit testy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The owner is willing to do three years with a two-year cash opt-out. The weapons and protection are there and supposedly Arians would be told to adjust his offense. Arians is the 'anti-Belichick' who will do anything to make the offense work as well as possible and Brady would be in a cushy offense. This team is probably his best option, but it is Tampa Bay and not really bright lights and big exposure.

New England Patriots - While Brady may feel a bit slighted and under-appreciated, the fan base loves the guy. Belichick does things his own way and Brady has been here for 20 years and should know and understand that BB will not kiss his ass. Brady may be the GOAT, but Belichick has always believed that every player is a commodity and can be replaced. It may not be an instant replacement, but he will be replaced. Giardi believes that in the end, Brady will stay in New England and BB might turn the screws a bit and make him attend the OTAs and camps because not being at them last year hurt the team. Here's the kicker, if Brady says he doesn't want to attend the OTAs, BB might tell him to find another team where he doesn't have to be part of the team. Brady's Diva attitude may not be acceptable to BB or the Patriots' ownership anymore.

Seems that Giardi doesn't think that a 42 year old Tom Brady is appreciated as much as he might have hoped.

It's beginning to look like the Patriots have resigned themselves to the fact that Brady will not be returning.

Yesterday, the New England Patriots allowed a story to get to the Boston media, not the world. It was well placed and they knew exactly what would happen once it got out there. Karen Guerigian, Tom Curran and Phil Perry apparently were the media people that got the news.

Here's why it got leaked......................Tom Brady has continuously said, "It's not about the money." So everyone assumed it was the length of the contract and everyone also assumed that the Patriots would only offer one year. Those assumptions over the last seven months have just about become fact. The second thing that we've been hearing over the past couple of weeks from Brady is the word, "weapons."

Now that the ground has been prepared, here 's the story.

In August 2019, after the Patriots and Brady had agreed to his present contract, the Patriots officially offered Tom Brady a multiyear contract. The exact contract is not known for sure but it is believed that he was offered two years and $50M guaranteed. Hence this is why he has stated over and over, "It's not about the money." He's never mentioned the length either because the Patriots still have this same contract offer on the table today. According to Tom Curran, Brady told BB and Kraft that he wanted to test free agency, just to see what it was like.

Fast forward to March 2020 and Brady is enjoying all of the attention that he's getting and knows that he'll be the headline in every major city for at least the next eight days. The patriots purposefully put this story out for all to see for one reason and one reason only. Damage control, before the ship hits an iceberg. BB and Kraft are not going to be left holding a fifty million dollar bag that they could never prove was on the table when Brady goes elsewhere for two years and sixty million dollars.

BB has been working the league trying to get some extra help for the offense before free agency. If Brady takes the Patriots contract, his cap hit will be $31.75M because the dead money will be able to be spread over the two years. BB will have to make a few moves to fit OBJ and Everett under the cap, but apparently he's already got it figured out or he wouldn't be trying to make the moves. If he does get those moves made, then Brady will have to make up his mind or BB will move forward in free agency and not offer Brady a contract.

Last night on BST, Tom Curran said, "It's pretty simple to understand. The Patriots are letting us know that they have made the moves that we were asking them to make, believing that nothing had been done. Now we know that they have proactive and the ball has been in Brady's court since before the 2019 season started. If Brady has not informed the Patriots that he accepts their contract offer by March 17th, then he most likely will not be coming back."

Danielle Trotta then spoke and everyone's mouths dropped. "Didn't Bill say that we would know one way or the other by March 10th?"

Belichick warned us that he was going to drop a bomb. And he did. Right in Brady's court.

The projections I saw had us getting the first and third comp picks not the second and fourth. So yeah we got hosed.

Haha I'm hoping people on here caught on to my sarcasm. It is definitely baffling that a player that got paid $4 million less per year ended up as the top choice for the Comp pick formula. That All-Pro part and high snap count must matter more than those making projections first thought.
