Finally got laid, eh? See what you've been missing?
Cavs...man you guys are still so far away from anything meaningful it's kind of sad.
It's his brandHow can the Cavs be that far away? wiggy said his Cavs will turn things around before the Heat. Could he have been wrong?
If Klay does end up having a full tear, it likely means the window for the Warriors closes. Klay will have then gone two full years without playing. Even when he comes back there’s no guarantees on how he will perform. Their shot to contend for a championship reduces greatly.
Crazy enough the things that might likely save this team going forward are the two things that most everyone thought they would deal yesterday....Andrew Wiggins and the 2nd pick (James Wiseman).
Im still holding out hope for Klay but it’s mostly just because I feel bad for him more than the Warriors. Dude loves like 3 things in like and one is hooping.
well that and the draft.....i mean- i got a promotion at work and have a girlfriend - and spending hours a week posting on a sports website just became much less of a priority.
and just to add---- i was okay with the Okoro pick for the Cavs. Reminds me of the Sexton pick a little bit--- counting on a guys work ethic and drive more than anything else.
Toppin and Avieda were more talented- but neither of those guys are really great fits in todays NBA since they both look like big liabilities defensively that will preclude them from playing the 3. Toppin has some Amare upside.
Okoro is what the Cavs needed- a wing player with top level athleticism that can play D, with a great work ethic and a lot of drive. Hopefully, like Sexton who's outside shot was questioned coming in, he can work on his outside shot and become a core player.
Haliburton really intrigued me too though.
He's my favorite player. This sucks so bad. That sucks on Klay. Man he was fun as hell to watch.
Favorite game I ever attended was a Dubs-Raps game in December 5 years ago. It was the 73-9 season and they came in and just tore us to shreds and in all my life I've never been so starstruck by attending a live sports event. It was incredible. We should've gotten many more years of enjoyment out of that core (and I hope we still somehow do).
He's my favorite player. This sucks so bad.
I don't think this happens and I don't think they should do this...but they can flip Wiseman and Wiggins for a player and they still have that Iggy trade exception. I mean most teams would be screwed, the Warriors got the #2 pick, somehow Russell than traded for Wiggins + that valuable pick next year. They still have a ton of assets to work with.
Months ago I loved Toppin but as time went on I felt he doesn't have a high ceiling. Deni is could have a very high ceiling but more risk.
Okoro and Vassell were the two options I wanted the Cavs to take.
Okoro doesn't have a shot, at least it's very inconsistent at this point but Sexton was the same way and Sexton had a weird release. In two years he is shooting over 40%. The things you can teach are effort and work ethic. Defensively he is the best player in the draft, he has a long wingspan. Great finisher with both hands..if he gets a jumpshot, watch out.
Maybe they can somehow flip Love, maybe even Drummond this year at some point.
Sucks about KPJ...hopefully he finds himself and isn't out of the league. Kid has a ton of talent.
Different topic for a second. What do you think of the 20.5 spread? Looked up Ohio State & Indiana's opponents records. Damn is it ugly.
Buckeyes: 2-9 (3 games)
Hoosies: 3-13 (4 games)
Seems weird seeing IU at # 9. But then again alotta weird things about this season.
You hate to see anyone get injured...why couldn't this happen to Draymond instead.
At this point I'm not sure I would want to flip Wiggins and Wiseman. I think the best the Warriors can hope for is that those two develop into really good players for the Warriors to stretch out the longevity of both Steph and Klay. The later years Spurs is probably what I would envision with Timmy, Manu and TP being propped up by young guys like Kawhi, Danny Green, etc.
Draymond's a fool. And current captain of my all NBA jackass team. But I don't want to see him get injured. Or any other player for that matter.
Yeah I agree, if Wiggins can grow in this system and Wiseman is the real deal the future still looks great. Wonder what they can do with that TPE, it mean a hell of a lot more since Klay went down. I think they only have 4 days to use it.
I've been saying the Warriors model is Spurs 2.0At this point I'm not sure I would want to flip Wiggins and Wiseman. Didn't know the spread was that high..kind of ridiculous considering how good Indiana has looked this year. Ohio St kind of got 2 weeks to prepare for this matchup too. Defense looks rough at times but I hope they cover. Weird season for sure.
