This is a good time for him to try and leverage a new deal right now. Ask Milwaukee for an extension deal as a provision for him to approve the trade.

Milwaukee is better off not making this deal or doing it for Hield.

that hard Cap will hurt them a lot.

keep Matthews for as much as allowed without touching mle, and then use the mle.

I don't get wanting to dump Simmons at all. Harris for that matter either. Unlike Horford, Harris can fit with this team even if he is expensive.

Why do you want to dump Simmons?

Harris is a tin man who disappears every playoffs. He is way overpaid for what he provides.

Simmons refuses to shoot the basketball. I want to surround Embid with shooters and see how far that can take us.

I like Harris as the 4 with Embiid and Green as the 3.

That's some nice spacing.

Simmons is definitely a problem, but he and green and harris are also versatile defensively, and J Rich is pretty good too. I want to see what that group can do.

I've never understood the infatuation with Simmons...he has improved very little and is scared to shoot the ball. Honestly, I know Embiid and Harden seems like a trainwreck with Embiid's ego and personality but that's just how he is. I would include Simmons in a trade for Harden in a heartbeat...that's just me.

Embiid and a bunch of shooters is a 2nd round exit team assuming that Embiid is healthy.

Dealing Simmons is just throwing the towel in.

Tobias Harris and Sinmons is a good starting point for trading for Harden....gonna have to add draft picks and another player or 2.

3 way trade?

Harden to the Nets is a bigger trainwreck unless the Nets are trading Irving to get him. Irving and Harden are both ball dominant guards....doubt that would work very well.

Either Simmons or Embiid has to go. You are not going to win a ring with those two players as foundational pieces. Maybe if the other three were lights-out jump shooters, but Simmons' inability to shoot affects spacing in a major way, and Embiid is too out of shape every year to run the floor in the way that a Simmons-led offense could win via transition basketball.

He will get dealt like CP did.

What you got going on food wise? Made some sweet italian sausage, tomatoes and white beans earlier for dinner.

Yes, this is the NBA equivalent of a money laundering operation that OKC is running. You take castoff players, assume cap liability, deal the players, acquire draft capital along the way, etc.

I guess the OKC fans are OK with being in perpetual rebuilding mode, but in most major markets, at some point you need to contend. They exceeded expectations last year and were entertaining and competitive, so there is that.

The Sixers tried the process and basically failed. Some still don't want to admit it but they largely squandered their draft capital.
