It's a great trade for the Sixers. The Horford contract looked like a huge albatross. They can't make up for past mistakes but are at least clearing the decks financially with moves like that. Hopefully they can trade Tobias Harris and Simmons next.

So, it occurs to me that before this night is over...

Lavar Ball will likely have had 2 sons taken in the first 5 picks and possibly the first 3 picks of an NBA draft.

I can't wait for my son to get home so I can tell him what a disappointment he is. lol

Probably want a veteran presence around while OKC rebuilds. They have enough draft capital to where they don't need to do a hard tank.

It seems to be a never-ending cycle for that franchise and think about it in the last 10 years they've had KD, RW, Harden, CP3 and Paul George...nothing to show for it

I believe horford is gone by the time that pick is there. They got another good pick this year so they didn’t need the sixers pick this year. It’s a decent gamble.

I don't get wanting to dump Simmons at all. Harris for that matter either. Unlike Horford, Harris can fit with this team even if he is expensive.

Why do you want to dump Simmons?
