Gudas is actually a RHD UFA too. I wouldn't be terribly opposed to bringing him back. Fletcher and AV seem very keen on LH/RH d-pairings. So I could see a RHD being on their want list, assuming they don't re-sign Braun.

Friedman is also RH and could be a fit. But he doesn't scream 'I fixed the Flyers problems with a heavy forecheck'.

Top line guy like Pietrangelo is probably out of the budget barring some serious cap unloading.

If he's up around his current deal at 3.35M, I agree. But I think that number comes down a bit. Lots of dmen out there this year and a tough situation cap wise for a lot of teams. I wonder where his cap hit ends up.

Trade value is probably as high as it will ever be right now being that he was third on the team in points in the regular season and a plus 14 as well as being 2nd on the team in playoff points.

JvR and sadly Ghost are misfits with AV system, and will be tricky to dump. Already went through the UFA’s that we will not sign.

do agree a big banging D body is needed to backstop our skinny guys until they bulk up.

other than that, I think the roster is good. Hopefully Patrick shakes his headaches, and Lindblom reaches full capacity. Bring up more youngsters and let’s get skating.
