Morin says in the interview that he’s watching Matt Martin video and wants to pattern his game after him.

Not only that, I think he would bring A LOT more attitude also. Be willing to engage in scrums and maybe push on the oppositions defense a little more.

I think Morin, if he can manage the switch, would be a spot start guy. Second half of back to backs against the same team where they maybe got pushed around a bit or it got physical. I’m skeptical he can turn into an every night guy after almost 3 years off and a position change, but I like the concept and I like the idea of putting him in some games depending on the situation

I would just like to say Cam York will be a solid defensemen for us. He is just smooth as silk and plays every part of the game at a high level. I hope he leaves college as soon as he can and join our team he will be an excellent addition.

IMHO this is all about JvR. If jvr is going to be content with standing in front of the net and nothing more, why not put a bigger guy there that will knock heads off ?

100% agree!!!! Im pretty sure that AV hates the type of BS effort big puss gives him day in and day out.

JvR is definitely going to have to earn his minutes this season. The Flyers are extremely deep on the wings and if he's not contributing, someone else will. He was a healthy scratch at times in the playoffs and they'll only be deeper up front this season. They said Lindblom is closer to full strength. Lots of optimism about Patrick returning to the lineup which could push Laughton more towards the wing. Frost should be banging down the door for a spot, that could be on the wing if they go Couturier/Hayes/Patrick in the top 9. They didn't sign Sandin, and he didn't choose the Flyers, to be an AHL-er. Laczynski had a great college career and Allison was great when healthy. Plus Bunnaman, Twarynski, Raffl, and Aube-Kubel. And then you get to Morin who could steal minutes as an enforcer type.

The Flyers have tons of options at forward, particularly toward the bottom of the lineup. Ice time will have to be earned.

Ghost, Patrick and a number one to land him

It would probably cost more but this is a start

Patrick would definitely have to be the centerpiece. Tough to say what else goes into it with his health questions.
