Wednesday has come and gone - no news of a fine for the grevious (according to some) hit on the Bills QB/RB.
If that hit had been during a 3 and 1 at the line of scrimmage and the ball carrier was a 240lb fullback then everyone would have declared it a great play. The h2h was 100% incidental and if you measured the motion from the moment Jones started to engaged it would be clear most of the momentum was caused by Allen. This is all about a QB gambling with his safety and losing.

I imagine Reiss emphasized the pronunciation in his tweet in a (futile) effort to head off the jokes

He’s back. Former Ohio State kicker Mike Nugent has been signed by the New England Patriots according to several sources.

One of the greatest — if not the greatest — kicker in Ohio State history has been an NFL journeyman since shattering Buckeye place-kicking records in the early to mid 2000s, and has been looking for a full-time job since being released by the Cincinnati Bengals in December 2016.

Originally drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft, Nugent has had stops there, in Tampa, Arizona, Cincinnati, Dallas, Chicago, Oakland, and now New England.

Nugent is reportedly being brought in to replace long-time field-goal kicker Stephen Gostkowski who was placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a hip injury. It is unknown exactly how long Gostkowski will be out, or how much Nugent’s services will be called upon.

I'm glad they didn't go with the x pitcher / hockey player, Charlie Brown.

Sorry about the above.

Do we know if that guy could even kick? If I remember right, he had a problematic holder.

Preface: I know you played who is scheduled.

But based on the teams we have played to date is it fair to say we just don't how good this team is? I know we have the Browns, Ravens, Cowboy's, Eagles, Chiefs, coming up this is where we may actually learn something about this team.

Completely fair.
