Guess I didn't see it anywhere in this thread. Must have missed it.
Yeah I think it was reported yesterday, that's when I learned Kraft needn't appear in court it can all be handled by his legal team.

Robert Kraft Facing First-Degree Misdemeanors in Prostitution Case

Hopefully the NY Times is a good enough link for you to trust. Originally they were going to charge him with 2nd degree misdemeanor but they bumped it up to 1st degree now. The odds of Kraft facing even a day in jail is slim to none but it does up some of the situation a little.

I didn't read the link but I will.
If it went from a 2nd to a 1st:noidea:
both are misdemeanors. Kraft will have his lawyers argue for him if it even gets to court. Most will be a fine and some classes. Granted judges have the ability to go away from precedence.

My guess is you are right that he gets a fine (drop in the bucket for him) and then has to take some classes on the sex trade industry to better understand the gravity of what he participated in whether knowingly or unknowingly.

Bengals exec calls John Ross trade report “fake news”

This seems more logical...I'm sure they'd listen if someone give them a great offer, but I don't imagine owners love seeing 8 figure dead money hits on their salary caps to see recent top picks playing for someone else. If teams are going to eat money to move a player in all these dead time scenarios (e.g. this guy, Rosen, OBJ, etc.), they're going to want a big return. Probably makes more sense for the Bengals to give him one year with the new offense to see if he can stay on the field and put something together, and then if not they can move on from him next year with no impact on their cap. And makes more sense for the Pats to just try and re-sign Dorsett then give up a pick and $2M for Ross.

Back to real football:::::::::::::::>>>>>>>>>

Looks like Golden Tate would be pretty interested in catching passes from Tom Brady in 2019 and beyond.

While appearing on the Prostyle Podcast, the soon-to-be free agent wide receiver was asked about potentially joining forces with Brady in New England and Tate seemed more than open to that opportunity.

"Man, I would love [to play with Tom Brady]," Tate said. "That organization, they've proven to be champions year in and year out. They work hard for sure, but you know where you're going to be at the end of the season. You're going to be looking at not just going to playoffs, but you're looking at maybe a first round bye.

"You've gotta admire that organization. They've been doing things right and they've been doing it for a long, long time so I would definitely love to be a part of something like that."

Tate-to-the-Patriots isn't a new concept as New England reportedly offered a third round pick to the Detroit Lions for Tate's services around the NFL Trade Deadline this year, but Matt Patricia's club ultimately shipped him to the Philadelphia Eagles. Given that they were interested in him a few months ago, they'll likely be interested again once he hits the open market.

According to Spotrac, Tate is projected to see a contract somewhere in the range of a three-year deal worth just under $31 million. As for what he's looking for in free agency, Tate said that he wants something stable with a solid quarterback situation.

"My time is limited," he said. "I don't know if it's going to be three, four, five, six years. I don't know what it's going to be, but I'm on the tail end of my career for sure and I want to get another ring, man. Winning the Super Bowl was probably the highlight of my career and I want to get back there so much more. That's what the goal is. So I want to go into this situation, I kind of what to have my cake and eat at the same time where they sling the ball a lot, where they have a good quarterback, have a good offensive line, have a good offensive coordinator - I kind of what it all. I don't know what's going to happen in the future. As we know, free agency starts in mid-March, so that's when the bidding I guess starts.

"I just want to go into a good situation, man. I got to kind of do a lot of thinking, praying on it, talking to my family. but ultimately I want to go to -- and I keep saying it -- a good situation."

Sounds an awful lot like he'd describing the Patriots.

Pats would need to create some cap space if they want to get a guy like Tate. They are not exactly loaded this season and have quite a few draft picks they will have to sign. They have a couple of guys they can re-work or cut that can help but not as much as one would think. I would also add there are some home grown guys that they mightlike to keep around. Stephen Gostkowski won't be cheap even if he is only a kicker. Trey FLowers and Trenton Brown were big contributors this past year...are they going to let both walk? Malcom Brown, Ryan Allen, Jason McCourty, Danny Shelton are a few other names they might be looking to return. I just don't see the Pats being big spenders beyond their own talent this offseason.

Now these are some rumors I could get behind.

Patriots have 13 players returning from IR. 9 of them last year's rookies. Belichick will not draft all 12 picks, he'll trade a few for next year and might even pick up a couple players for picks. The Pats have approx. $19M in cap space. Knowing the way Belichick works, he will pare off a few guys and do what he has to but will not over spend.

I find it interesting that so many people every year tell us Patriots fans how many problems the Patriots have with personnel and payroll and the cap. Yet they seem to be back in the Super Bowl almost every year.

Historically, the Patriots do better with near nothing than other teams can do with excess.

As first reported by @BenVolin and @NoraPrinciotti, Patriots character coach/team development Jack Easterby is leaving the team after six seasons.

Spoke with several #Patriots about character coach Jack Easterby leaving the organization. One told me “he was a major reason why we played for each other.” Another said “he’s a unique man. Those will be tough shoes to fill.” Finally one noted “lot of change this offseason.”

He also said that he was very upset about Kraft's activity in Florida. Well, Jack, I'm sorry but we can't all walk on water. In my blind eye, if you were the "character" coach, I would think that you'd be the first to step forward and offer assistance, not bail out. Now I'm confused about your character.

Fuckin eh! I could not agree with you more. Belichick will undoubtedly find an adequate or even better replacement.

As long as it doesn't curtail any plans for NE to get one of the top TEs in this years draft. I think anyone of the top 3 could be studs.

I'm good with that.Marty, Gronk and one of the kids from...Iowa?
Cut Stone Hands and Hollister.
