And you are acting like that can’t change.

It absolutely can.

Miami is an entire tier below OSU...Stop being a clown, i know it's hard for you

We also beat Miami last time we played in the national championship

We also took out BAMA in 2016 and won the national championship...Sure things can change, maybe your wizards will win a championship? But i doubt it

You've been getting your smacked around by a guy, not a woman. Though I guess that might not be preferable to you.

My what smacked around?
How could you forget your middle name?

It can, but Wiggy's point about infrastructure is solid.

But it's less about being a small private school, than it is about being a "commuter school".

There are small private schools that compete just fine. USC, Notre Dame and Stanford are all small private schools.

USC is a little bit down, but it's not because they lack talent. Notre Dame was down, but they seem to have recovered. Stanford has been a 9-10 win team since @Wamu favorite coach showed them who and how to recruit with their admission standards.

One of the things those schools have in common (besides being small, private schools) is they are not commuter schools which makes generating interest among students easier and building an infrastructure a bit easier.

you - "how could Lebron try to lure PG"
me - "with a phone"

Yeah...you got me.

Can a player that doesn't play for a team recruit a player that has just signed with another team?

Great logic there skippy. You're certainly winning this one

@dtgold88 logic:

The Charlotte Hornets could win the NBA Championship. It's not impossible. They're a contender just like every other team in the league.

All they have to do is score more points than their opponents in every game they play.

I agree Pelinka might not look like the complete boob he did when Magic was "helping" but what has he really done to give you so much confidence? You said Magic was the one who convinced Lebron to come. He was able to make a deal for a guy who insisted LA was the only place he'd go (doubtful the presence of Pelinka was why) and failed to get another max guy and for the second year in a rwo instead filled in with the scraps that were left.

Also could not even convince Ty Lue to be the coach.

Who said that I have "so much confidence". Or is this you, once again, overstating something just to argue?

I clearly said "seems to" and "or at least seems to be". I also said "the jury is still out". What about those srtatements says I have alot of confidence.

What he did was get the AD trade completed and clearly had a plan in place to put together a better roster than last year in case Kawhi chose not to join the Lakers. He also did a nice job of implementing that plan when Kawhi chose the Clips.

And lol @ Ty Lue.

Yep. The Lakers were meant to sign super head coach Ty Lue to a much longer contract than any other team was actually willing to give him.

That's why every team looking for a new coach was just lining up to sign him as head coach.

What is he doing now again?

Isn't he an assistant coach now?

An article from the latimes.com 5-8-19 (Lakers will not hire Tyronn Lue as coach)

In the article it says Lue had endorsements from Phil Jackson & Magic. And a small piece of it.

One of the issue was the makeup of the coaching staff. The Lakers suggested several names that weren't to Lue's liking

Sounds like the Lakers wanted to pick his coaching staff for him. Now that's odd.

He could have called him before he signed. You weren't aware? And here's a flash...deals are not signed. Only agreed to in principal.

I agree, that is odd. But at the same time I understand that the Lakers want assistant coaches that they vetted themselves rather than a couple of Ty Lues buddies.

Another issue I think was the length of contract. Lue wanted 5 years and the Lakers were only going to offer 3.

Now you equate Charlotte winning the title to making a phone call.

I had said you should stop embarrassing yourself, but selfishly I hope you do not. This is free comedy you are providing.
