Or, teams like Heat, Cavs and Warriors had the cap space and assets to be the beginning of Super Teams era.
Pretty sure if Lakers would have been in the position the Heat were in 2010 that all 3 going there easily could have happened.
I mean - exactly--- now the league is based more on intelligence and who can gather more assets, etc. than it ever has been.

2 teams dont win over half the titles in a 40 year period without major institutional advantages.

I would say they still enjoy some slight advantages but not NEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR enough to come even close to enjoy the type of success they used to enjoy- not even close. Not anywhere NEAR what they used. Never again. That should be clear to everyone.

Im no Lakers fan, but they were left a mess.
It takes time to dig out of that deep of a hole, but its much easier to do if you know top players like LeBron and A.D. want to be there.
Fact is their best player 2 seasons ago was whom?
Now they have 2 of the elite which chances are will attract others.

funny i was thinking the same thing. lol.

I never didn’t get it.
Players aren’t hell bent on just a few top cities, but its foolish to think that if those cities position themselves correctly that they won’t be the ones who get the elite players.

As pointed out, 4 of the elite of the elite have picked LA since last summer.

You are arguing with him but making his point. Yeah, I'd say that's a sign you don't get it.

I just did? Are you dense?
Dense one is the one having trouble following this (you).

Question only applied to you and the Lakers, but for some reason you mentioned the rest of the league as if that mattered.

Everything is in relation to the rest of the league. 7 years is easily the longest drought for the Lakers, but that just shows how strong they have been historically (31 finals appearances in 51 years, 10 more than any other team, in the finals in every decade of their existence). 7 years isn't unusual for most teams.

OK. 30 teams. Would think "most teams" would be at least 20, right? Name those teams who have not won a playoff game the last 7 seasons....or even had a 7 year stretch since 2000

This Boogie stuff just confirms what we all knew already:

Everyone who leaves the Warriors has gone to shit, except for Pat McCaw who is now a 3 time straight NBA Champion. What a legend.
