I mean, he's no Nerlens Noel or Patrick Patterson but I think he'll be just fine.
Well you found the right company for him whether you meant to or not.

The Lakers could have found an all star center that averaged 20 and 10 for most of his career for less than $3.5m?
That's not my point. My point is they could have paid more and got someone better.
Who was available after Kawhi made his decision? Especially at the center position?
Now if you were an NBA GM and found out that your team was one of the three teams that Kawhi would consider, what would you have done?
They don’t have a championship team now?

No.
If Cousins plays 60-65 games and averages 16-17ppg and 8-9rpg.....they'll be just fine.
I agree in part with this, but, as others have also pointed it, he eliminated the Pelicans from negotiating with any other team but the Lakers.
I also stated, it should be done in private. No reason for anyone to know about it.
None of that matters, blows my mind how people condone this behavior. Fn pussy world we live in now, me me me.
I just hate what they did to Boston. You should have zero say in where you get traded. His agent making comments that he made is unacceptable.
“They can trade for him, but it’ll be for one year,”
She said nothing about Cousins avg 20/10 this coming season
I get why small market fans are bitter. You can’t keep your guys.
But bottom line, the Pelicans had 7 years to build a winning team around a truly elite player and they failed miserably.
So I don’t blame Davis at all for wanting to play somewhere else.
usually when people lash out with personal attacks its because they are beaten on substance and have no where to go.
I mean I could not have been more right about the Heat and Whiteside the last few years- so there will of course be a back-lash to that. Its an acknowledgment of right I was if anything.
End of the day, neither side has loyalty.
As soon as the team decides the player is no longer "part of the plan" or they're ready to "move in a different direction", they move the player whether he wants to be moved or not.
As soon as the player decides the team is no longer "where he wants to be" or that he "can't win here", he starts looking for a way out.
The closest I've seen in recent memory to loyalty from a team, the Lakers gave Kobe a big contract for his last 2 seasons. While I agreed with it at the time, and still do...it also likely has a lot to do with why they have struggled so much the past few years.
The closest I've seen to loyalty from a player in recent years was DeMar DeRozan re-signing with the Raptors because he wanted to play there for his entire career. He's now a San Antonio Spur.
Don't sleep on Cousins, he's in the best shape of his life right now.
