The Nets were better than 8th seed with Russell.....Irving is better than Russ.....

SMH.
Are you being serious? The Cs were the #1 seed and went to the ECF without Kyrie in 2018 (missed much of last half of reg. season). with him all year 2019 they were the 4 seed and out in round 2.

And Irving is an apparent head case that may completely fuck up team chemistry if he acts like he did this past season rendering the negligible upgrade over Russell moot.

The Celtics moved the ball alot better and played team defense without Kyrie. Without a generational talent next to him, he's a flashy non-factor.

Brooklyn will be on that 6th, 7th, 8th seed territory until Durant comes.

So, Enes Kanter took Kyrie's old number... and the Boston faithful are 'modifying' their old jerseys.

Or those youngsters peaked and over-achieved in 2018....

And that doesn't change the fact Irving is better than Russell and is an upgrade.....and he's going to be out to prove Boston was a fluke.

Kyrie doesn’t get any excuses this season. He chose this team. He was drafted by Cleveland and traded to Boston. He chose Brooklyn.

Brooklyn was a playoff team last year. Any regression or locker room drama and it falls directly on Kyrie.

They'll still make the playoffs which was what I was talking about in regards to WAMU.

I think they are the 4th best team in the EC behind

Philly
Milwaukee
Boston

Better than Indy, Toronto, Miami, Detroit, and Orlando.

Better than Detroit and Orlando yeah. Miami is a toss up.

No way they're better than Toronto and Indiana. They're too deep.

Irving is definitely better than Russell.

But he can also be really tough to play with. And the Nets had great chemistry last year.

They will be better with KD. I would not be shocked if they are about the same or maybe even a little worse this year.

10. Murray

I would say all of those guys are better.

After that I would probably say Paul is 11------ but guys like Fox, Young, Garland, Sexton, Morant all will likely pass him up before his contract is over.

Lowry and Bledsoe are comparable but I would give Paul the slight edge on both of them.

How do classify guys like Doncic, Harden, Booker? none of them point guards? all of them?

Yeah, I was hesitant in putting Paul as top 10, but figured it was safe. His talent's comparable at least to the bottom 3/4 of your list. Doncic, Booker and Harden (now that RW is on the Rockets) would be guys that I classify as 2-guards (although, I understand they could be classified as PGs depending on their use).

I kind of want OKC to be saddled with CP3 for the duration of his contract. Presti tried to fleece the Heat for Westbrook, then traded him to Houston which you negated a full rebuild just to take on an even worst contract in CP3.

Agree.
When it first happened, I thought OKC already had move 2, worked out the Heat.
Im glad they didn’t.

CP expected to start season with the Thunder.

Not surprising. With free agency basically being over, it'll be easier to work trades in December once all the free agents that signed this summer are eligible to be traded. That will open up a lot more possibilities for salary matching, teams getting involved, etc.

And again not to beat the same damn drum but OKC didn't forsee this?

Everyone was busy telling OKC how great they did getting a couple first rounders for Russ but they ate the second worst contract in the league and lost their franchise player to do it.

One of the more head scratching trades I've ever seen.
