Chris Paul won rookie of the year while playing his first year in OKC. I think the fan base is excited to have him back. It will be strange watching the ball move next year though.

Or those youngsters peaked and over-achieved in 2018....

And that doesn't change the fact Irving is better than Russell and is an upgrade.....and he's going to be out to prove Boston was a fluke.
You thinking he didn't want to prove he deserved to be a #1 guy when he went to Boston? How'd that work out?

I can't answer that question.

IMO, Dame & CJ are both better than Middleton but Giannis is so amazing that it is hard to decide

People thinking it's clearly dame and CJ lol and I said no way. I would take middelton over CJ though

I think I'll lean towards Dame/CJ if we are strictly talking about offense

Giannis/Mid, both easily better 2 way players. Offensively, I would take CJ/Dame by a hair bc of how both can spread the floor but Middleton is just as good as CJ.

Overall, Giannis/Middleton...by a good margin.

I disagree about Middleton being as good as CJ offensively.

CJ can help Dame out big time when needed. The Denver series is a perfect example of this. 3 games with 30+ including 37 in a crucial game 7 on the road. The guy is big time on offense.

Middleton on the other hand was nowhere to be found when Giannis needed him most. 6 in the biggest game of the season then 14 in the elimination game. Unacceptable.

Going with CJ on offense until further notice

Not surprising. With free agency basically being over, it'll be easier to work trades in December once all the free agents that signed this summer are eligible to be traded. That will open up a lot more possibilities for salary matching, teams getting involved, etc.

Yep, I'd also add that, while his contract is really bad, it's not he's not a good player anymore. Still one of the best pg's in the game when he's healthy.

So it'll give teams time to figure out if he can make enough of a difference this year and maybe next year to justify taking on that contract.

Should be okay as long as when the guys who have been playing with him get the ball, the coaches explain to them what it is and what they're supposed to do with it.

In the playoffs no doubt but over the course of a season there isn't much of a difference. Middleton can do more as an overall player but just offensively CJ is better and can get hot for sure.

He had a down year last year 34% yikes. But he can get hot. I probably rather have korver but having another ball handler won't hurt

He would have something to prove. One thing I noticed about JR is plays so much better when he needs to prove something to the world. Once he gets comfy on a team then shit goes bad
