Nope....I've never watched the team and not cheered for them to play well. But I do realize losing is better in the long run for them.

I also know the Cavs attendance was only under 300 less per game than Miami at 99.6% capacity. Bigger test will be this year, admittedly, as many season seats sold before knowing what Lebron would do.

I think what's ridiculous is pooh poohing having a top pick as without Wade it's likely you'd be title-less.

Play well or win?

Im guessing win, and then when it doesnt happen, your mind switched mode to acceptance.

Attendance numbers are always flawed, plus many attending are buying cheap on stub hub , etc..
Miami arena was seldom 99.6% full.

As far as Wade. It happened. Im thrilled with results, but starting that season or any other, Ive never hoped to be 20 win team.

Yeah...meant cheered for them to win.

I get not wanting a 20-win season in a city that should be a FA destination. But even in such a city, without 1 awful season you'd have spent your entire Heat fandom cheering for mediocre at best teams.

View attachment 210607 CP is better but on a crazy contract....Hollins is a fool.

For the reasons Hollins said, that is absolutely false. CP3's contract is obviously the main issue here compare to the minimum Rondo has but CP3 is still a much better player than Rondo lolzz

Paul's play is not the issue.

Guy can still get it done, even if he's lost a step.

The problem is trifold.

1. He's overpaid.

2. He can't stay healthy.

3. He will fuck up your locker room.

I'd rather have the guy getting paid the minimum too.

But, Lmfao @ Rondo having more left.

I would appreciate it if you would quit spreading viscious rumors about the guy, you are not helping.

Kind of depends, imo. If he were to put Magic Johnson type numbers, but never develops a jumper...what is he worth?

I don't think you could have the success Magic had in this era, too be honest.

I was watching this guy and some dude named Will argue last week.

Hollins got absolutely body bagged.

Complete fucking idiot on all topics. It was bad.

Usually guys in all sports like Hollins who are journeymen, tend to be great analysts - Dan Orlovsky, Tim Leggler, etc... Hollins missed that boat apparently.

Maybe. But if he doesn't at least develop a somewhat respectable jump shot (which Magic eventually did himself), then it's probably the best he can hope for.

If it happens it happens, but sorry, not the mindset down here.

I understand that you ( Cavs fans) accept the fact that your only chance is the lotto, but not the case here.

Nobody has ever tried to convince ‘ you’ otherwise.

I dont really buy it though.

Are you saying, for example, daddy takes him 8 year old to a game.
They get to arena and kid is all excited.
Daddy tells him, no, we need to lose so we can get more lotto balls.

Also, its a wonderful pitch to advertisers, sponsors and season ticket holds.

#ridiculous

I mostly agree. But if a fanbase understands why the team is tanking and believes that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't an oncoming train. It's probably not so bad.

If, for example, a team decides to tank and rebuild mainly through the draft (especially those that don't have a choice) and fans can see the team gradually improve. It can be fun watching the young players develop.

Tanking, to me, is finding reasons to not play your best players.

No player on the court, tries to lose.

So, if your young players are your best players, and your future, then you are just losing.

Its one thing to lose.
Another to hope to lose before season even begins.

I can understand finding reasons to sit players last <10 games or so if your at that point trying to improve your lotto odds.
