And now comes the dead part. Summer league coming to an end. Shit about to get real quiet until late August IMO
Good news is NFL camps open soon with preseason games shortly to follow, then of course the reg season to make September fly by (with CFB as well).

It's all good, I gotta get my fantasy football team ready haha

Yeah we just got to get through the next few weeks. Once camp opens/preseason football starts, I'm good with very little basketball talk til late August/early September

Was just talking with some guys in our league about the season last night. While I'd like to have a top 4 pick, of all seasons I can recall this might be the year picking 8-10 might be ideal.

Where do you pick? I think if you just get the best guy that year it won't matter where you pick

I went to 2 last year. Will be there more than that probably. My brother got a nice little connection with someone for courtside seats at a reasonable price.

Nah February isn't this bad at all.

At least in February, we have NBA, CBB, and NHL (if you're into that).

In July, there is only baseball

More truth is I do like Griff and hoped he'd stay. Only issue is with those who think he was a keep at all costs type GM.

Assuming the rumor that Lebron wanted him was true, that should have made him a keep at all costs GM, at least while he was there.

But yeah, beyond that, he had shown himself to competent, but not necessarily anything special.

Selfishly, I'll miss him on NBA TV. Loved his insight, and candor. Also loved he was not afraid to tell it like it is even if it meant pointing out his own mistakes.

Agree. If/when he decides to move on from being a general manager he'd be great going back to doing that. Kind of cool to hear things from a GM perspective.

Pretty sick man. No KD but kyrie will be there now. That's a treat but can't wait to see this team playing together

Definitely prefer NBA to MLB but selfishly why I like this time better (at least this year) is because my MLB team is at least a contender ......but more importantly the NFL and CFB are right around the corner.

How can you think that rumor is true? If Lebron wanted him so badly, he would not have demanded the Lakers to bring him in? And why wouldn't they if asked?

What I really liked, as mentioned, is he seemed more candid than most in that type of role.

I might as well......That offense overall scares me. Maybe even Kamara.

Possibly him too. Barkley is a monster and put up 2,000+ yards with Eli lol that's impressive. So gives me some hope that he's still 3-5 RB overall this year

Don't know if it's true or not and don't really care. But it's been widely reported that Lebron wanted him.

Also, the Cavs and Lakers situations were different.

Griffin was the Cavs GM and Gilbert let him go while Lebron was on the team and according to reports, wanted him kept on as GM.

When Lebron came to the Lakers, they already had a GM and Lebron was mainly dealing with Magic anyway.

I think he is, too. Wouldn't mind just being 4 and taking the one who falls to me.
