I had a great 4th of July weekend where I enjoyed 2 visits to Seal Beach, the Pomona swap meet, hung out by the pool at the Best Western......

Today?

I just took a nap after doing some errands this morning......about to shave my goatee and take a shower....and I need to figure out tonight's dinner menu.....

What you doing specifically......visiting Coney Island?

Too many teams, but the same 8-12 always in the mix, ability level sooooo low, so slow, games take FOREVER. Best players sit out the bowl games, best players go to which big school can funnel them secret $ best...

I'm not a big football guy in general but college football is so worthless.

Maybe someone can compare the Cavs to the Heat or something...

Well, if my team was one of the 8-12 (like yours) instead of one of the lamest 'big conference' teams I might feel differently, but honestly college football sucks.

I presume you prefer pro at least?

Good point, and yes I prefer the NFL.

Should add even when my team sucked forever I still watched a lot of NFL (and all of their games). Can't say I'm sure I'd do the same if my CFB team was an also-ran at best. I think I'd still watch the big games, as I'm into it now, but who knows if I would if my team was always a dreg (most years at least).

Exactly, at least the skill level and game excitement is far higher in the NFL. And the games don't last 4+ hours.

The final straw was me and some friends going to Berkeley to see a very exciting 1 point win for Cal over Texas. Which took 4.5 hours (maybe a bit more I was pretty high). Then we had to get on the crowded subway to get home, and the game started at 7:30PM Pacific so I was home by like 1:30AM. Stupid.
