Blazers traded one expiring contract for another.

Could have gotten kanter for a much cheaper rate but they chose whiteside. There is a reason behind that.

Maybe because Whitesides 36 PER is way better then most?

@WiggyRuss claims them meaningless stats, but of course its just rhetoric vs reality.

There's clearly something they like about him more than Kanter.

But this guy is so obsessed with Hassan. It is crazy

Reality, I ended up liking Whiteside off the bench because then he didnt have to worry so much about fouls.

If he controls that with Portland they will be more then fine.

Then, they’ll end up having probably the best 2 headed monster C combo in the league for stretch run.

lol

Lighten up Francis. Just knew Griffin wasn't the GM, but had forgotten that Griffin was the VPBO.
All good. Was quite calm writing that. Just letting you in on the truth.

More truth is I do like Griff and hoped he'd stay. Only issue is with those who think he was a keep at all costs type GM.

Selfishly, I'll miss him on NBA TV. Loved his insight, and candor. Also loved he was not afraid to tell it like it is even if it meant pointing out his own mistakes.
