You're acting like Russ is a bad player. Russ been doing what he's been doing with shitty coaches and no real offensive philosophy for his entire career.

Like most big contracts, if you can get 3 good to great years and the last year is bad then you deal with it

Yeah people way too quick to criticize something the league has never seen before. You nailed it with the coaching.

The way they are talking about Russ you would think he is K-Love (pre lebron) where he put up crazy numbers and his teams never make the playoffs

This sounds like a player that doesn't impact winning like he should've and is playing for the exact same franchise currently.

I don't get why people on here acting like the NBA is the NFL where you fall off a cliff when you turn 30? Most stars play at a high level til their mid 30's....34 or 35ish

Too add: It's still the honeymoon phase and he is immune to criticism.

I dont get the Russ hate

He needs to take less shots and wherever he goes he needs to rely on his teammates more but he's still an elite guy

I never got it. The guy is a competitor and plays hard as fuck. How can you hate that so much?

As you said, he needs to take less shots wherever his next team is and improve his decision making but my god the hate on here for him always been ridiculous

When you think of NBA athletic freaks, Lebron, Westbrook 1-2, right?

People listen to too much Colin Cowherd and don't watch basketball ( I like the guy btw ). That's where the hate comes from.

He doesn’t know how to take it down a notch, sometimes that isn’t good but a lot of times it is. One of the biggest competitors in the history of the league. So much in fact the GOAT has acknowledged it more than once. Been fun watching him but it’s time for him to move on.

Different kind of athletes but maybe more like 1a and 1b. That’s the kind of athlete Westbrook is. Lebron is a freak to do what he does at his size but he doesn’t have Westbrook’s motor, no one does.

You know what they say about hindsight but I will always believe the nba is a much different place if brooks hadn’t been fired. I don’t see the Thunder losing when up 3-1 if they didn’t have a rookie coach.

Donovan is not a good NBA coach.

But I honestly think he is better than Brooks.

Thunder responded pretty well to Donovan in year 1 and 2. They almost always underachieved under Brooks.

I did say "in no order" in my post, lol. I'm not comfortable in ranking them yet.

Yeah, I was acknowledging that in my first sentence, but after re-reading, I can see how it could be taken differently.

The West is gonna be so crazy, it's going to take a while to get any kind of a good idea about where to rank them.

It would have been much easier if Kawhi would have just cooperated and gone to the Lakers. lol

Depends on the player. RW isnt the guy that looks to transition well. Every year we think he will add a jumpshot to his game, actually getting worse

That's fabulous, but we are talking about a pick in the teens who to this date has had a couple good games in Summer League.

Windler has played just as well and we could say the same about him as you did Herro, but I cannot imagine the Cavs would be in negotiations but back out because they insisted on Windler.
lol....uhh exactly....it was basically an 8-9 player draft-and after that there was supposedly very little difference between picks 10 and 30. Not ANY of those guys is a deal breaker by ANYMEANS. This draft was EXTREMELY weak after the top 8-9 guys.
