Series Thread: 2019 NBA Playoffs First Round: Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics

Barring a significant choke job by the Sixers (who have one of the easiest remaining schedules), this is going to be the 4/5 matchup in the eastern conference. It's only a matter of which team has home court advantage.

Props to Tyreke Evans for nearly bringing us back from down 17 last night against the Clippers, but at the end of the day we just didn't have the guns to go to with our entire starting backcourt being out.

From a fan's perspective, beating the Celtics without Oladipo seems like a longshot. Obviously it would have been a much more competitive series with him. That said, I think if we could take a game or two from them that it would ultimately be considered a successful season for us.

And mad props to Marcus Smart for throwing down that self-entitled and self-absorbed flop artist tonight. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the playoffs...

Mad props for losing your cool on a pick and getting thrown out of a game, waking the beast for a 37 pt, 22 rb game leading to a Celtic loss. Odd thing to think is a positive.

But most likely the Celtics pull this one out. The Pacers just don't have the horses, even though they've had a hell of a season. I think it'll be a competitive series though. I can absolutely see this going 7 games.

I expect the Celtics to win this series but that Baynes injury could be a problem for the Celtics if he is still out.

Oooh, Fagadelphia beat the Celts one time out of four this season. They deserve a trophy lol.

Given that Embiid earlier this season flopped his way into getting your star big man ejected from a game, it would seem to me that you and I ought to see eye to eye on this one.

This could have been a pretty fun series if Oladipo wasn't injured... I respect Indy and think they are a "greater than the sum of their parts" team when at full power... they can give any team in the NBA a headache.

As it stands, though: Indy just doesn't have enough "oomph".

Embiid has owned Drummond every time they have met. Not that it has anything to do with the post or response. I don't have a problem with Embiid.
