Here's the thing with Lebron...I think he can still be the best player in the NBA when he wants/needs to.

But at 35, he can't be the best player in the NBA every game and expect to have anything left for the playoffs.

We know he likes to take it easy in the regular season (he couldn't do that on the Cavs that last year), we are seeing early his numbers take a dip, that isn't by coincidence. But you will also see him turn it on when the Lakers need it and AD is on the bench. He could care less about numbers anymore or recognition really...he wanted to hand the team over to Kyrie, Kyrie didn't have the balls to take it over..so now he is handing this LA team over to AD. At this point it's about championships and championships only. You better believe he wants to get to six.

LeBron will be 35 in a month and has more miles on him than any player in history at his age.

Theres no shame in that game- but Giannis and Leonard and Davis are clearly better at this point. I am sure you could make an argument for Harden as well- probably even Embiid.

dude started playing at what? 19? hes 35 and has played in an insane amount of playoff games.

its just the reality of the situation.

No doubt, in the regular season, he is a top 10 player..maybe not even top 5 but in the postseason who knows...I guess we will see. I expect to see the old Lebron in the playoffs but I also expect AD to put up huge numbers so

All correct except Harden. LeBron is still a player you'd rather have.

Easily...that's why when people rank players (mainly by regular season) it doesn't matter much. So how do we rank Lebron if he takes it somewhat easy in the regular season but gives you 35 8 and 8 in the postseason?...kinda hard to rank. You would have to separate the regular season and postseason

Ding, ding, ding

Yep.....Raptors were more successful last 5 years than Cavs per an unnamed source.
Okay, is that what was said or is that just your interpretation?

The Cavs went to the Finals every year LeBron was back and won once.

The Raps went once, won once. But, got snuffed by the LeBron led Cavs on more than one occasion.

Even if we count last year's shit show if a Season, no.

For fucks sake, they were calling the City they play in LeBronto...lol

Better record in the regular Season for the Raps over that span, possibly. But, I don't care enough to verify that fact.

That must be what I had heard, but missed that they wouldn't have the full amount.
Yeah, I'm not a cap nerd.

I usually just ask @tlance , @WiggyRuss.

Plus, It's a trade chip.

Even with the injury, he's a worthy gamble considering the fact that he has a player, or team, option for next year. I don't remember which one.

post 2110. It's what was said.

when asked which teams could compare to Cavs' success last 5-10 years other than GS, this was the answer from the unnamed source (though will be named if you look for yourself)....

Says the source, "The Raptors. They're 1 for 1 in the NBA Finals. Cavs are 1 for 4 (in the last 5-10 years)

Which one is better?

Or have they given out prizes for 2nd place?"

kinda sucked in a way, though. kinda wanted to see if Ja Morant was worth the hype...

Yeah he's had his moments but he hasn't been the most impressive...

The #1 rookie on this list really kills me right now but happy he is playing well...

1. R.J. Barrett
2. Kendrick Nunn
3. Ja Morant
4. Jaxson Hayes (haven't seen him play much though)
5. P.J. Washington
6. Rui Hachimura

This list could look totally different mid-season and at the end of the season though.

That's fair
There's no scientific way to prove anything here, it's all argument fodder

people are so dumb. It really just blows my mind sometimes.

Holding going to the NBA Finals AGAINST the Cavs?

unreal. but seeing as i cannot see the conversation it has to be with one of two people- both who are imbeciles- it does not surprise me.

hard for me to believe he would fuck himself over with a team option for such a piddly amount.

Harden is averaging 16 FT's a game so far...that's stupid. AD is averaging 14.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron averages a DD with points and assists

Maybe Garland goes off like Sexton LOL...seems a little tenative early and obviously being only 19 and playing on 5 games in college it will take time for him to adjust. It will be a learning phase for him

Yeah, I disagree.

If we are going by wins and losses regular Season, sure.

But, that's not the only way to measure success.

Cavs coasted a few years.

If we are going by Finals record...

Robert Horry > Barkley, Malone combined.

Patrick Mcaaw > LeBron James

That would be silly.
