what i said that even on LeBron's best night he is no longer the best player in the league. I dont think anyone rational would disagree with that.

he is 35 playing a young man's game with the most miles in history for someone his age. its truly amazing and a testament to his work ethic that he is still a top 5-10 player.

And read what you said and I disagree.

Of course, we all know that if he were still in Cleveland, you'd be posting very similar to what I did and calling him "Lebron Raymon James - King of the NBA" in all caps and big font.

That's where I am and have said as much. I want to see Playoff Lebron before deciding he is still not the top guy.

Yeah, I'm not 100% convinced he can still do it. But I'm also not convinced he can't.

We'll know a lot more late in the season and in the playoffs.

If he's not anymore, then he's not. But as I've heard a lot of commentators say: Not sure I want to bet against him in the playoffs. lol

Didn't say he was the best. I said he has the ability to be/play like the best, but he can't do it all season long anymore.

Basically, if we're talking about a stretch of games or a playoff series, I think he can step up his game to a higher level than pretty much anyone else.

But an entire season? No way.

His last season in Cleveland when he played all 82 is the last time he was ever going be the best in the league for a whole season.

Who are the guys we are listing ahead of Lebron?

Kawhi, Freak.....who else?

Davis?

Shit, Tyler Herro looks like a top 10 player if we are going by this small sample size.

I need to see Kawhi continue this new playmaking ability.

I need to see Davis not go to the locker room injured once a game.

I need to see Freak connect from 3 consistently.

If those 3 guys are doing those things come December, LeBron is officially dethroned.

He's still situationally DOMINANT.

But, that's no longer good enough when those guys can play at that level for 40 mins a game.

I feel like I'm in a time warp.

I left 24 hrs ago and literally dropped back in at the same point of the same argument...lol
Nah...this one's different.

But you did miss hearing a team who won 1 title in 5 with no other Finals' appearances had a better run than a team who won once with 3 other appearances. Oh, and latter team knocked out the first team 3 times winning 12 of 14 games.

Nope....not making it up ( needs to be mentioned it was not chief).

That was an all-timer.

Well, that makes it hard to say he's the best then. Other players are better more consistently, including the playoffs. For the reason you mention, age. Father Time has won again. LeBron was the best in the NBA for a long time, maybe longer than even Jordan. No shame in being passed by a couple 20somethings at age 35
That's a fair point, but the way titles are measured by so many would think that would mean the most (how they perform in the playoffs).

Isn't to say Lebron will play better....just not ready to say I'm sure he wont.

LeBron will be 35 in a month and has more miles on him than any player in history at his age.

Theres no shame in that game- but Giannis and Leonard and Davis are clearly better at this point. I am sure you could make an argument for Harden as well- probably even Embiid.

dude started playing at what? 19? hes 35 and has played in an insane amount of playoff games.

its just the reality of the situation.
All correct except Harden. LeBron is still a player you'd rather have.

Shamet, and Harrell are actual very strong trade assets. Green is solid as well.
Yeah, and I don't want to trade any of them.

Shame needs to be near untouchable because he can stretch the floor.

Trezl is my 3rd favorite Clipper behind Lou and Kawhi.

I really want him to stay. But, he's the guy likely to go in a trade for a big because of his contract situation.

Dude is pricing himself out and deserves to get PAID.

With this upcoming, weak ass market, he will.
Plus, ya know...

Rich Paul.

Bye, Trezl.

wouldn't want to trade either, but if it helps the team, cannot get too attached to your own players......especially when in title contention.
