Holy shit...

They gave Rondo, Mcgee and shitbird KCP a NTC?

LMFAO!

Rich Paul is the fucking GOAT for getting KCP paid AND a NTC.

LMAO
i think the no trade clause is by virtue of them signing one year deals. I think its mandated by the CBA with the type of deals they signed.

Here's the thing with Lebron...I think he can still be the best player in the NBA when he wants/needs to.

But at 35, he can't be the best player in the NBA every game and expect to have anything left for the playoffs.
you could not possibly watch LeBron and Kawhi and say- even on LeBron's beest day- that he is better than Kawhi at this point.

He will be 35 in a month- it shouldnt come as a surprise.

the fact they are missing 3 first rounders and dont have a 2nd rounder until 2023 is pretty unbelievable though.

Well, that makes it hard to say he's the best then. Other players are better more consistently, including the playoffs. For the reason you mention, age. Father Time has won again. LeBron was the best in the NBA for a long time, maybe longer than even Jordan. No shame in being passed by a couple 20somethings at age 35

I believe they also have the ability to release Boogie and use the $3.5 million they gave him to use in the buyout market.
thats not how that works. lol

I mean MAYBE they are gifted a disabled player exception from the league office, but you dont release a player and get to use his salary. LOL Even a disabled player exception wouldnt be for anything near the full 3.5M

LeBron will be 35 in a month and has more miles on him than any player in history at his age.

Theres no shame in that game- but Giannis and Leonard and Davis are clearly better at this point. I am sure you could make an argument for Harden as well- probably even Embiid.

dude started playing at what? 19? hes 35 and has played in an insane amount of playoff games.

its just the reality of the situation.

I did no such thing. You twisted into that so you, and Wiggy, could get into some dick measuring contest. I said that THIS year the Cavs fans need to talk early because there won't be much to talk about Christmas. You know this is true so you want to make some irrelevant argument about relative success of the franchises which I couldn't possibly care less about.

The Raptors have been an average non-descript team. Right now they are reigning world champions. Which is more important to Raptors fans?

Good for you. You can rewatch videos of 2016, click your heels and chant there "There's no one like Lebron. There's no one like Lebron"
Nice try, but you said what I told you. Tried to say a Cavs' fan does not know about success. To a Hawk fan.

And to be clear, I never said the 76ers future short term does not look a lot brighter. Longterm? Probably does but wont know for the cavs for another year or 2.

same for the Hawks, but without an elite wing I don't see them becoming a contender.

Are you unable to tell the difference between "can be" and "is"?

I think that right now, Lebron is sitting back, letting AD do his thing and seeing what he has with the other guys.

If memory serves, he did the same thing in Miami and when he returned to Cleveland.

I don't expect that he'll start trying to play like the best in the NBA, until we get a lot closer to the playoffs.

Having said that, as I said in my post, he has the ability to be the best in the NBA when he wants or needs to be. But, at 35, he can't do it all season long.

You can literally say the same thing about any team.

Didn't say he was the best. I said he has the ability to be/play like the best, but he can't do it all season long anymore.

Basically, if we're talking about a stretch of games or a playoff series, I think he can step up his game to a higher level than pretty much anyone else.

But an entire season? No way.

His last season in Cleveland when he played all 82 is the last time he was ever going be the best in the league for a whole season.

I mean, we are missing a few of our own too.

Not this year's.

BUT, we have tradeable assets.

Not many that I would choose to part with though.

The fact that a guy like Jamychal Green is our 8-10 best player speaks very highly to our depth.

We still need a big though....

what i said that even on LeBron's best night he is no longer the best player in the league. I dont think anyone rational would disagree with that.

he is 35 playing a young man's game with the most miles in history for someone his age. its truly amazing and a testament to his work ethic that he is still a top 5-10 player.

It's what I heard, but wasn't sure. Hence, the "I believe they can use it" statement.

Shamet, and Harrell are actual very strong trade assets. Green is solid as well.

That's where I am and have said as much. I want to see Playoff Lebron before deciding he is still not the top guy.
