Jokes aside, that was a defensive masterpiece against the Pens. And the Giroux/Couturier lines were great. Hayes was a stud on the PK. Provorov/Niskanen were dominant. Elliot came up big on the 2-3 chances that the Pens could muster.

Agreed. JvR with the critical second goal in this one. So much for that 15 games theory, eh? Lol

Either way, it's an enormous win against our biggest rivals and a great time for Elliott to get his first shutout of the season, although I think the team in front of him deserves more credit for it.

Amazingly, we are 27-17-6 with 60 points and still just shy of a playoff spot. That will change if we can keep playing this way moving forward and get healthy.

I think they’re clearly a better team than NYI and CBJ. I’m also not afraid of Toronto one bit now that Reilly and Muzzin are out. They barely had goal prevention with those guys, without them they’re going to hemorrhage goals against.
