I watched a little bit of the under 18 USA team last night and Cole Caufield is good. He had 2 more goals for a total of 11 in 4 games.

Boldy is the player id take as he is also really good with 11 points in 4 games and he has size.

His scoring rate is really hard to ignore. I wonder if he hasn't played himself out of the Flyers range. He's got 69 goals in 61 games across all competitions this season. That's insane. Add in last year, where he played 1/3 of the season up an age group, and he's got 123 goals in his last 120 games. Even as a top 10 team, I think it'd be hard to pass on that kind of production. If he's there at 11, I think the Flyers have to take him. JMO.

I like what I've read about Boldy too. I'd be fine if the Flyers end up with him.

Edit: If I'm the Devils, I'm trying to get a 2nd top 10 pick to get Hughes and Caufield. They have 3 second round picks and some decent prospects, I try to move those to get Caufield.

I didn't fill out a bracket this year, but one of my friends is a Caps win tonight away from going 0-fer

I am putting a couple hundred on the Caps tonight at -150 i think that is easy money,

I hope your friend is not a betting man.

I agree. I want the Canes to win for the locals, but I'd be surprised if they pulled it off. Then again, the 2019 playoffs haven't been short on surprises.

Buddy is not a betting man fortunately.

Definitely keep. IMO you have to gamble on Provorov. He has the potential, and has shown most of the time, that he can be a 25+ minute per night, #1 dman. If they were to move on from Provorov, where do they find that guy? It's one of the hardest roles to fill in the NHL, you have to bet on Provorov getting there.
You have to keep Prov, he is young and still learning the game. i think him having a bad year may work in our favor come contract time.

Agreed. Blessing in disguise I think.

As long as it brings back a legitimate top 6 forward or top 4 dman that is signed for 2+ more years, I'd be good with this.
Package this pick with Radcliff and move on up to a top 6 pick.

iRad is way more valuable in a trade then JVR will ever be so i had to add him to move up in the draft. If we do keep him that will be another LW that pushes JVR from the third line to the fourth as well as Farabee. :D

How awkward will the Canadian world team be with Vignault head coach Hakstal as an assistant and Hextal as the GM?

I'm really excited about Farabee. I think he plays a fun style. Anyone who is described as 'tenacious on the forecheck' gets a big check mark from me.

Is there something realistic the Devils could offer to pry the #11 pick from you?

The only guys I'd really be interested in from a Flyers perspective (time to start winning) would be Hischier and Hall. Hischier obviously doesn't make sense, and I doubt they'd be interested in moving Hall. But Hall is UFA after next year, which is both a 'do we need to get what we can for him' note for the Devils and a 'how much should we gamble' for the Flyers. It'd have to be more than a 1st round pick obviously, but I would be open to a 1st + to get guys like Hall. But Hall is also coming off knee surgery.

So I guess, if you can get an idea for what he wants in his next contract and he's willing to sign an extension, would you consider (Myers or Ghost)+11th+mid-level prospect for Hall? Would the Devils? My gut tells me that deal doesn't happen without Provorov or Sanheim in there instead of Myers or Ghost, but then it's a different deal IMO.
