That sounds like a lot of team-speak. The fact is that we have a player with serious migraine issues who has already had concussion issues that have possibly exacerbated the situation and who is playing a sport where future concussions are also likely. This is not a recipe for a happy ending. I wish him the best but color me very concerned about his future.
Oh for sure. The long term outlook is quite ominous. Snakebitten by the #2 pick yet again...

Hart, Farabee, and Laughton were the standouts for me last night, that order. Thought Myers played a nice controlled game too, which he needed. Also thought Morin had one of his better outings.
I will agree with this 100% but we still were terrible in a really boring game.

Just my thoughts: I'm going to pull a lasgop and beat my past dead horse about Laughton - no way he should be 3C for any length of time. Bump Giroux to 3C, Laughton to 4C and Farabee to 1LW. Hopefully this is very short term, but I think we're all having doubts about Patrick returning. If Stewart makes the team as the 13th forward and signs for less than $1 mil. I'm fine with it. He's a good character guy and can probably play 25-30 games bringing energy/toughness to the 4th line. A bigger role or more money and forget it. The Sanheim-Myers pairing has not been good. I know Myers has been hot and cold but they just don't seem to gel regardless. Since the other two pairings seem to be working out I hope it doesn't mean we see more of Hagg than we should. Not sure what happens with Morin. The ideal course would be to send him to the Phantoms to get some playing time, but I would guess it's less than 50% likely he clears waivers. Having him sit as the 8th d-man does no one any good, though.
Its nice to have fans who read my posts.

I was disappointed last night as well. Was hoping to see "regular season" intensity - didn't see it from top line.

My only hope is that they were still focused on system.

A comment from the rangers announcers that concerned me was that AV said , as new ranger head coach, it will take until Christmas to get to know the players. Seriously? Was he fishing and playing golf all summer ? Good hockey people can get players positives and negatives from tape. It's called scouting.

All of these Nolan Patrick stories would be more upsetting if he were good.

So here's my question. Now that Patrick has a migraine problem and hasn't quite lived up to the hype, he's toast and we're moving on from him. Yet, we have Morin, who people still seem to be dying to see. And people are concerned about losing him to waivers. So we've given up on the 21 year old with 61 points in 145 NHL games, but we still have high hopes for the 24 year old with 8 NHL games?

That's not meant as a knock on Morin. Let's pump the brakes on Patrick being a bust, wasted pick, useless NHL player. He's still very young and has potential to be a good top 9 player. Let's just hope they get this migraine thing figured out.

For this afternoon's game (2pm). This looks like the roster for opening night to me. Stewart and Pitlick are the scratches. And I guess Morin/Myers looking like the scratches on D.
