lol.....hey did you see Dan's statement? It was the picture of restraint....i am suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was what he was really thinking too.

I was pretty much resigned to this starting back on Thursday after things I was hearing.

I just hope they dont try and win next year and they go into a rebuild---- though it might not be a bad idea to at least START the season trying to win to drive up the value on some guys before hopefully a house cleaning at the deadline.

At least the cupboard is not ENTIRELY bare like last time and they should have pretty clean books starting after this year-besides Clarkson and Thompson- and each of those guys will be on 1 year deals.

Id trade Korver if I could get anything for him. Guy still shoots over 40% from 3, and had a couple really good playoff games where he actually played defense.

I dunno....its definitely a time to regroup and reflect on the last 4 years of seeing LeBron here, winning a ship and going t othe Finals four times.

They aren't rebuilding.

So much for trading Love, they just extended him 4 years for 120 mill.

4 years and 120 million......the Cavs are looking at chasing a 7-8 seed in the EC.

So much for rebuilding.
you can "rebuild" with Kevin Love as your #1 if you really wanted to...the Twolves sure did. lol.

But yes, ideally Love is a #2....but ya never know how things turn out.

In a year that was going to almost impossible to tank anyway with Love on the roster, Hill, Thompson, JR, Korver, Clarkson etc. - to secure Love as an asset, and potential #2 going forward was a very nice move- especially considering the free agent frenzy that will be awating the multiple teams with cap space this summer.

Excuse me.....aren't you the guy who said chasing the 7-8 seed and getting bounced in the 1st round is where no team should want to be?

Including Nance? LOL.

He's a 15-18mpg type guy, not a foundational piece.
wtf...Nance was at 9 and 8 in 20 minutes a game last season and played very solid D. He is one of those bigs that has plenty of athleticism and speed to switch the pick and roll. While he is definitely not a 1, 2 or 3 on a good team, he can absolutely be a quality rotation piece. He would EASILY be the Lakers best big man not named Kuzma.

I read your comment alright. I replied and you got your panties in a bunch. Again.

Good thing you came to DJs rescue though - I wouldn't know what he would do without his knight in shining armor.

If you read my entire comment where I said I was kidding you wouldn't have asked how a cheeseburger was that I never had.

I call out your inability to read properly & you say I'm the one that's somehow upset? You really are a special kind of stupid.

absolutely- but the Cavs couldnt really even tank this year if they tried to with Love, Hill, Smith, Korver, TT, Clarkson on the roster. After going to 4 straight Finals they have all these win-now vets that they cant just get rid of even if they wanted to.

Next year, after Hill and Smith are gone, and hopefully they deal Korver, maybe even Clarkson, they will be able to open it up more for the youth - but it just was not an option this year.

Nance Jr. is the EXACT type of big man the Lakers should be looking for- a defense first garbage man with ahtleticism to switch the pick and roll that will set hard screens, board, and play D. Instead you have JaVale McGee who has not played 20 minutes a game in over half a decade because he blows.

They couldn't tank if hey traded Love and Korver? They'd be lucky to win 25-28 games......

They just extended Love and he's signed through 2019-20. They could have easily waited and not rushed to sign him now.

Please refer to Javale McGee as 2x NBA Champion Javale McGee in the future.

You guys finished a full 6 games ahead of the Heat last year. You lost Lebron, the best player in the world, you haven't gotten any better on offense and your defense will still be atrocious. You think Lebron only made you 6 games better than the Heat?
if the Heat fans wont take that bet- me and you will have to....

PG: Sexton, Hill
SG: JR, Korver, Clarkson
SF: Osman, Hood
PF: Love, Nance Jr.
C: TT, Zizic

vs.

PG: Dragic, T. Johnson
SG: Waiters, Ellington
SF: J. Rich, Winslow
PF: Olnyk, J. Johnson
C. Benchside, Bam

thatll be fun. I still gotta say, my hatred for the Heat has no lessened. lol.

Nor has my hatred for the Lakers or Knicks......though at least neither team will really go very far this year anyway.

@TurnUpTheHeat

Cavs/Heat....who wins more games.

Want to make the bet on our also-rans?

Cavs are a better team than Miami despite losing LeBron and going all out the last 4 years.

I'm willing to jump in on this. I don't see how the Cavs win more games than the Heat.

They will have 70 million in capspace in 2020.

25 million next Summer.
theres plenty of moves they can make to get more- including moving Korver...moving Clarkson, maybe stretching TT...etc.

Adding a Khris Middleton would be nice. I wonder who the good restricted free agents are.

I'm more than willing to take this bench. Two week AVI or all the Vcash that I have....or both. Your choice.

Dude, the Lakers took a chance and cleaned the books on chase 2 top guys.

I doubt they will be crying in their beers over losing Nance.
