The worst part of it all is that Stone was completely ready to sign a deal in Ottawa but it had to come with up front bonus money (term and AAV was agreed on). Melnyk wouldn't pony up the money up front.

Pierre Dorion looks like a poor negotiator but I feel for the guy. I'm starting to think he's actually doing a decent job given the shit he has to put up with from his boss.
