Wonder how active it will be this year? Lots of talk this weekend will be busier than the actual deadline.

Answering my own Q ... rangers retained 900k per year salary on spooner so gagnes cap hit is actually higher than spooners lol.

Going to the provincials for Special Olympics in Curling from 21-24 and got a recovery day on the 25th.

I'll bring my lame sense of humor to the 25th proceedings

Clearing cap space... how do it work?

I have never been more excited and/or terrified for a trade deadline day in my life.

Duchene is going to go to Nashville for a bag of magic beans, isn't he?

Yeah that makes zero sense now after dealing Talbot. How are they going to circumvent the cap for Sekera unless Lucic magically retires from a skin condition or quits to go to the KHL?

Columbus. For way too much likely, but Columbus nonetheless.

A nothing trade:

I don't know, Coyle is a pretty good NHLer and it signals to me that the Wild are giving up on the playoffs. Will be interesting to see who is packing their bags next to leave Minnesota (Eric Staal maybe?)

And Minny is getting a good young player in return. I wouldn’t call it nothing, either.
